Kurt, The reason for the dealerrater.com reviews is for me to send potential future customers to the website and read about their experience with myself as a salesperson. That is why I asked you to rate your experience with myself. I understand completely your frustration with the vehicle purchased but I would hope you would reconsider the rating you gave me personally because the unsatisfactory review that was given really affects me as a salesperson. I pride myself on being accomodating and delivering a high level of customer service. I really do appreciate your business. I enjoyed working with your family and want nothing but the best for you as one of my customers. I feel the process of our dealership is fair and transparent. I hope you understand that is why we allow our customers to take the 'as is' or any vehicle to their personal mechanic or shop that they trust to give them the opportunity to know exactly what they are buying. The unfortunate part is that potential problems are not always disclosed to us at the time the vehicle is traded in and we do not spend the resources fully inspecting these because if they do not sell within a certain window, we send them to auction. Note that I DID give you an excellent rating. 5.0 on both Customer Service and Friendliness. The ONE sticking point for me was that one of you mentioned in the showroom that you try to keep the "better" vehicles, even as Wholesale vehicles, and let the worse ones go right away. We've only ever bought one other used car from a dealership, it was still a low-end vehicle, but the quality of product was much better. It was the kind of experience I'd expect from a name-brand dealership. My suggestion and hope is that the dealership consider investing just a little bit more into the 'As Is' process to protect your potential buyers. It'd be a small investment to balance the long-term goodwill it can provide your customers. I'd expect this adventure to be much more likely with a "used-car-only" dealer. My low Quality of Work rating is based on this premise. If I adjust/soften that, this review will just get "filed" and no one in the dealership will at least give it some thought. Kurt

I understand your point and we will take it into consideration for future transactions. We want our process to be as transparent as possible and we are not just interested in "selling cars". What we want are genuine customer relationships that create repeat and referral business. It does not sound like we have done this in your case. Thanks for your offer. Your intent to resolve things means a GREAT deal. Since we've already spent an additional $1800 to get the vehicle in much solid shape, it doesn't make sense to take you up on the offer. (In the end, we replaced 2 tires + alignment, the water pump, oxygen sensor, steering shaft and coinciding clock spring that set off the driver's airbag light, serpentine belt, and a recharge and complete cleaning of the A/C system. The condenser coil and drain hose were dirty to the point of being clogged, which dramatically affected the system.) But my opinion of Morrie's has now climbed a great deal. Thank you for your integrity, and I truly hope you consider giving the "wholesale" vehicles a little more inspection/attention before offering them out of your lot. It seems like a viable option given the used vehicle market of today, and a chance to build a long-term relationship with a customer. Kurt
