Took me three days & six attempts, via email, to finally get the dealership to quote me their bottom line price and when they did, the price was $678.00 higher than their price when I first contacted them. More

Mr. Williams, First, I want to apologize for the delay in responding to your request for price. We give prices every day, for new and used purchases, with and without taxes, which is why Alexis requested your address, but you declined. Most customers want the "out the door" price". Since we sell in Mississippi, Louisiana, Alabama, and Florida, taxes and fee's differ tremendously. I make no excuses for our pricing or our auto butler and etch. The $899 includes a sealant that we re-apply, including a detail, 2 times per tear for 5 years. ( a $700 value includes a paint warranty). Our etch is a theft deterrent, with a sheet metal acid etched, and included a $2500 payment if the vehicle is not recovered. As For prices, they are based on the market. This vehicle was priced at $42,889 on 12/10/2023. Since then, the book value has dropped, which was adjusted on 12/29/2023 to $37,888. on 1/11/2024, Our manager dropped the price to $37,210, but the syndication tool we use went back to the previously published price of $37,888 on 1/17/2024. It doesn't happen often, but it did here. In researching similar vehicles online, they range from a low of $37,995 (Opelouses) up to $44,935 (Jackson, MS.). At $37,888 this vehicle is still a CarGurus "Good Deal" and a CarFax "Good Value". Again, I apologize that we were unable to assist you, but every day we evaluate our pricing. We don't put our 2nd best price on the internet, so Alexis should have simply explained that based on the market and competition, the $37,210 was our best price. Sincerely, Roger Bacon Owner

Frustrated to say the least responded

Mr. Bacon, Thank you for your time to respond. Good communication & trust are important values, on both sides, in any transaction. I did not receive my simple requests in a timely manner and the repeated same apologies did not foster any trust for your dealership. Sorry, the frustration I experienced, means more to me than you selling me a Fair deal vehicle per Car Gurus. By the way, you incorrectly stated a “Good” deal, by Car Gurus, in your response above.
