Called to schedule and needed a loaner so had to schedule a bit out to accommodate. When I arrived on a Saturday, Sean met me at the door & took care of everything right away. On June 25 of this year, my daughter's 2007 Lexus RX350 had the engine light came on during her drive to LA and she towed it to Motor City Lexus of Bakersfield! She spent more than 300 dollars to tow the had the engine light came on during her drive to LA and she towed it to Motor City Lexus of Bakersfield! She spent more than 300 dollars to tow the car to this dealership as well. She is only 21 and this is her 1st Lexus that she bought after her Graduation! She asked Sean Popplewell her service advisor "to do what ever needed to be done for her to drive the car safely back" to Los Gatos where we live! Well, I am here to report that after charging her $16,33 dollars for cooling system repairs, the car is still gushing Radiator Fluid out!! The Service Order shows that the Water Pump was replaced at the cost of $574 dollars. Belts and hoses were also services for $221 dollars! The car's engine light came on the minute she arrived back in San Jose; which has been another saga which we are chasing directly with Lexus Customer Service. But this review for the shorty work Motor City Lexus did on her Lexus which is still leaking fluid as you can see from the attached photos. They did a horrific service at an absurd price and risker her life by sending her on a 260 miles journey in a car that was not repaired!! When we asked Lexus Customer Service to refund us for the $1,633 dollars they told us that we have to go back to the Dealer which is yet another attempt at passing the buck. Needless to say, this is a horrific way to service Lexus Cars and our life with this Lexus is now nothing but endless problems with Dealership visits, diagnostics and Towing service which does not appear it will end soon. We do NOT recommend the Service team at Motor City Lexus of Bakersfield. More

Like any other dealership, when buying the car, they are your best friend. As soon as the free oil changes are, impossible to get help. They offer appointments at times that are late for working individuals, like myself, and cancel on you the night before. I am a registered nurse. My hours are 7am to 7pm and when I make arrangements for car maintenance, it is extremely difficult to just reschedule. But your maintenance department in Bakersfield Ca could care less. When I went to drop off my car to Lexus in Bakersfield Ca, my service rep spent all of maybe 2 minutes with me. Told me “car will be ready later, wait here for Lyft.” Not “Good morning! My name is Sean! I apologize for having to reschedule on you at the last minute but we are going to take care of you! I already called a Lyft for you so you won’t be late to work.” I did notice that other individuals who were getting loaner cars were being tended to much more quickly and much more kindly. I didn’t realize I had to pay more to be treated like everyone else. More
