When we arrived Carson met us in the parking lot with Tim Caylor. Tim was so patient with us as we test drove several vehicles. He definitely knew his stuff and was always so positive when I'm sure he could tell I was feeling so negative thinking they wouldn't be able to help us because of the credit history. We will never be able to put in words how great Tim was/is. They were extremely busy but yet we always felt like we were the only ones there! Carson even came back a couple times to make sure we were doing ok. We drove off with a brand new 2012 Kia Sorento and couldn't be happier. We have talked to Tim every day since because I had to follow-up with some copies of paperwork they needed and he still continues to treat us just as great as he did when we were sitting in his office! (Even on his day off!!) We have asked Tim for his business cards to distribute to friends/family! More

We approached your dealership first thru your website, where we were able to browse your current vehicles (love that!) Then we submitted an inquiry to the dealership, Rick from Internet sales promptly responded to our inquiries as well as followed up with us several days later. We called Rick to let him know we would be coming up on Saturday 7/2 and when we arrived we were welcomed by many folks willing to assist us in our buying process. Rick then took us over to the KIA dealership to test drive a vehicle we picked out of back lot that just rolled off the truck. He had the car brought over to the KIA dealership where I was welcomed by Conray (in training) and Robert Descenzo, who were both VERY knowledgeable about the product we were interested in. We test drove our car, feel in love with it and sat down with Conray to fill out application (paperwork, etc.) not much nego. took place since we understood before we got on the lot that the KIA Optimas were flying off the lots-so knew that nego might be a little tough (after a test drive we could see why) We asked for some tint on the windows and some body molding instead of nego price down and were able to get the tint, but as told by the sales persons KIA didn't make the body molding for that vehicle. We were a little disappointed but were satisfied with the tint and knew the dealership would be there for us if we had any problems with the vehicle. The process was lenghtly (but we expected that) We were given a tour of the Shelor campus and taken over to accounting to finish the paperwork and go over warranty and other options. Morris wrapped the paperwork up for us was also very friendly and very knowledgable. Not at all pushy, but informative. One set of keys were missing from the vehicle and Robert indicated that once located they would get them to us. A day or two later Robert drove all the way to Roanoke to hand deliver the keys to me while I was at work! That was the icing on the cake! Throughly impressed with the overall buying process and the follow up. Will definately buy from Shelor again!! (and P.S. Conrad doesn't need to be training, he should be working SOLO-that guy knows his stuff! 10x better than all of the other sales people we met on other car lots, he knows CARS- he knew exactly what he was doing and asked all the right questions of Robert when going over the paperwork. Robert did an excellent job supervising him - very tactful, professional and never looked down his nose to him. They worked together to get the sale complete!) More

He also went the extra mile to find the car I wanted, as it was not available on the lot. He was responsive, courteous, and did not pressure me into buying a car that I did not want, but instead found the exact car that I was searching for. I truly appreciate his professionalism and pleasant demeanor, and I will be sure to refer him to others who are interested in purchasing a new Kia. Thanks so much for all of the help, Skyleur! More

In one word my 7 hour car shopping experience and purchase was AWESOME!!! Being a long time resident of this area I have certainly over the years heard some negative remarks about Shelor Motor Mile a purchase was AWESOME!!! Being a long time resident of this area I have certainly over the years heard some negative remarks about Shelor Motor Mile and will have to admit I was a little apprehensive about even driving onto the property but from the very moment Mike Mundy and his trainee Conrad greeted me all of my fears vanished. Both gentlemen were extremely pleasant and did not come across as pushy or demanding! They worked with me in finding several cars to test drive and took the time to explain the differences of each vehicle to me. That process, although lengthy in time was important to me because I wanted to make the best decision for my travel needs and of course my pocketbook. I left driving a Kia Forte straight off of the show room floor and couldn't be happier if the Kia company itself had delivered it to my front door at home! I learned many things that day because of Mike and Conrad, first being that Shelor Motor Mile really does care about their customers, second, that not all car salesman are pushy and rude and third car shopping does not have to be an experience that one should fear or dread as long as they shop at Shelor Motor Mile and have Mike Mundy as their salesman! I greatly appreciate all of the staff that I dealt with that day and certainly will recommend Shelor's to anyone who is looking to purchase a new or used vehicle! More
I didn't actually expect to get my new Kia at Shelor. I was working with Berglund and was pretty far down the path to closing that deal. I bought a car from Shelor 13 years ago and finally decided it was time to get a new car and bought a car from them again 13 years later. They have such a nice variety of vehicles to chose from, it's n decided it was time to get a new car and bought a car from them again 13 years later. They have such a nice variety of vehicles to chose from, it's nice to be able to do one-stop shopping. Neal was a very helpful, knowledgable salesman. All the questions that we would ask about the vehicles that we were looking at he was able to advise and inform us about them. He never was pushy or obnoxious like some salesmen are. Instead he was there when we needed him, but gave the space we needed to make our decision. He also followed up a few days later to see if there was anything we needed, if we were still happy with our new car or if we had any questions that he could help us with.
