End experience was great, and I enjoy my new vehicle. The price negotiations took too long, as the dealer was speaking to his manager for way too long just to get a price for me to accept. Day after purchasing Check Engine light came one which is extremely frustrating, but there was a software update which required me to drive in and receive service. The titling of the car was not ideal and caused a pretty large headache for me when it came to insurance. I was told even though I was titling in my name, I could remain on my parent's insurance until I could get my own. When speaking with my insurance agent he informed me this was not the case, and this was poor advice by the business rep. While I'm not positive about the legalities of insurance law, this ended up being a match of "He Said.. He said" as my insurance agent saying one thing and the dealer saying he was wrong, it still made me feel like a fast sale was more important, which may or may not be the case. All was resolved so no harm done. Everything was explained in depth to me regarding paperwork and my sales person was very helpful during the stressful times. I liked the grand tour the dealer gave after purchasing so I would know where to go for service and explained all of the services offered by Shelor. All of the buildings were very up to date and modern. I enjoyed the way Shelor did business overall, but the actual stress and frustration is what caused the "Overall experience" to be low. I was very impressed with the way Kathy Sweeney got me the deal that I was looking for. She was very knowledgable with the Subaru brand and answered all my questions without hesitation. Kathy was great, very helpful and knowledgeable. I had questions because I have never owned a Subaru and didn't know anything about them when I arrived, but knew a lot when I left with it. Melissa and Ken were also very helpful. Melissa explained the paperwork thoroughly although I am in the same business and knew much of it already. She also went over everything in great detail and I had no intention of buying an extended warranty on this car, but after she explained how it works and the price and how much it would change my payment, I actually did purchase the warranty. I was very pleased with the entire purchasing experience at Shelor Motor Mile and will definitely recommend to any one I know that is looking to buy a new car to contact you first. More

Kathy quickly promptly greeted us on the lot, and when I told her what model I wanted, she found one right away. Shelor's first price blew the competition's price out of the water. I likewise found the finance manager very professional and personable. I like how he showed the options and exactly how they would increase the payment. I had never seen this before either. My husband and I had been talking for a while about trading in two older cars for a new or slightly used Subaru Outback. We went to Shelor to look at the cars on the lot, and Kathy Sweeney was the firs trading in two older cars for a new or slightly used Subaru Outback. We went to Shelor to look at the cars on the lot, and Kathy Sweeney was the first to greet us there. We found her to be extremely friendly and helpful in a low-key way. We liked the fact that she was not trying to give us a "hard sell" but instead just trying to make sure she understood our wishes and needs and could provide helpful answers to all our questions. In the end her approach was one of the major factors that "sold" us on a new car from Shelor. Kathy introduced us to other sales people and supervisors along the way. She was able to obtain for us within a few days the exact model and color we wanted, and with no prior commitment for us to actually purchase it. She and everyone else at Shelor had done their homework on our behalf when we returned a week later, so that the business/financial end of our transaction proceeded very smoothly and quickly, especially compared to other such transactions we have had at different dealerships in the past. We will definitely recommend Shelor AND Kathy Sweeney to others in the future! More
We went to Shelor to trade in our SUV. We had talked w/ Bowie over the phone the day before about the price range we wanted our payment to be within and he told us to come on up and he would work with us. He took the time to not only let us test drive the original car we were looking at but also 2 others. We never felt pressured by him to buy any of the cars (unlike the experience we had when we purchased the SUV). He took the time to go through everything with us and answer any and all questions that we had. We will definitely be back to Shelor again when it's time for another new car! More
