On July 11th, I took a day off of work to go look at a 2018 F150. It was listed for $33,900. After a test drive, I had a list of things that needed to be fixed. George assured me it would be no problem to get those fixed. I put a $200 deposit down and he was going to have the truck ready Saturday. On Thursday, he emailed me an agreement with the purchase price of $33,900 so I could finalize my loan. George called me shortly after and told me the dealer owner wanted $1,000 more for the truck because repairs were costing more than they expected. I called the general manager, John hoping he could rectify the situation. He was on board with the price hike even though I received the purchase agreement for lower. He said they would be “under water” and likely needed more than $1000 to cover the repairs. This is dishonest and shady. The truck should have been inspected before they decided on a list price and put it on their lot. They should have negotiated with me before agreeing on a price and repairs. I’m not responsible for their poor business decisions. I feel they have wasted my time and I would not recommend anyone shop there. More
