Bait and switch Called dealership around noon to make sure a certain car was on the lot and was told by Emily that it indeed was. Told her we would drive up later in the afternoon to look at the car. At 315pm Tim Cook called to ask if we were still coming up to look at the car and I told him yes that we had an hr long drive and it would be about an hr and a half before we got there. At 5pm we pulled in at dealership and was met by a salesman (name unknown), I told him who I was and I was there to see Tim. Salesman said Tim was waiting on us and he would go get him. I asked if we could look at the car in the meantime and he said he didn't know where the car was located but would find out. A few minutes go by and he returns saying that Tim was finishing up with some other customers but would be right out. Again I asked to see car and he said he'd find it. He comes back after a few more minutes and says the car was not there. He said it had been sent to auction earlier in the day but then tried to sell me a different make and model car that has been on the lot for some time. I told him I was not interested and we left. After leaving I decided to call Tim to find out exactly what was going on. After several attempts I finally got through to him and asked what the deal was with the car. He said that it had been sent to auction earlier in the day. I asked if it was on the lot when he called at 315pm to find out if we were coming to look at it, he said no it was not and then preceded to try to sell me the same different make and model car the other salesman tried to. After all this I told him that I had no interest in buying from him. This is the perfect example of a bait and switch sales tactic. Buyer beware when dealing with these very dishonest people at Mtn View Chevrolet. They have no value for your time and couldn't care less how far you're driving to try to do business with them. "Lucky" Day Unexpected blessings were bestowed upon my family a few short days ago. A simple ride with my former shelter dog, now best friend, to see some friends Unexpected blessings were bestowed upon my family a few short days ago. A simple ride with my former shelter dog, now best friend, to see some friends and later deciding to check out the mtn view chevy flyer that came in the mail turned into an experience I could never have dreamed of. As we got closer to the dealership, I was a bit unsure about how they would react to my furry companion but figured we could at least walk around the parking lot and see what happened. My dog is very well mannered boxer/pit mix and sometimes we don't exactly get a warm welcome due to her appearance. I was prepared to leave out of respect if they did have a no critter policy. We were greeted outside by Nada Smith. I'd never met a female salesperson at a car dealer before and it absolutely made my decade!!! After she introduced herself, she asked what brought us there. I told her to check the flyer and possibly a vehicle. She then invited us BOTH inside!! {{{{Please be advised that hours upon hours have been spent training my dog in crowded situations, how to behave and respectful of others. I have complete trust in her or I never would have taken her inside a loud, very crowded dealership. She is also up to date on all shots.}}}} Long story short, I ,ahem, we were treated with respect, dignity, kindness, empathy and compassion. Nada checked my flyer and told me I got to spin the money wheel. I heard a guy come in complaining about that being all it was. My thought is it's more money than I came in here with! Wheel money obtained, we started discussing a vehicle. I explained to her my family's needs and finacials. She assured me that they'd find a vehicle that would suit my family's needs. She kept her word. Within a matter of minutes she had a set of keys and we were off on a test drive! Yes, furry companion too on her seat protecting blanket! She was as excited as I was! I didn't find what I was looking for that day so I returned the next to do some more looking. The kind treatment, welcoming environment and friendly staff made that decision easy. It paid off in more ways than one. Nada managed to set me up in a freshly traded, much newer vehicle that I had even considered. She worked with the floor manager, Josh Brewer, to get me a deal that I didn't think possible. No exaggeration y'all. I told these amazing folks my needs, my situation, budget etc and they made it happen!!! I highly recommend mtn view chevy, Ms. Nada Smith and Mr. Jason Brewer. Ladies, if you are apprehensive about purchasing a vehicle due to prior bad experience, please go visit Nada and Josh. They'll get you taken care of and make you feel welcome as they do. One last thing, have you ever wondered if the prizes on the flyers actually do get won? While I can't speak for the 4 wheeler or that stuff. I do know this, if you put your name in for the raffle, you have a real chance to leave with a giant tv that you can't fit into the vehicle you just purchased! Thank you! Thank you! Thank you! My family is now in beautiful vehicle within our budget, we met some amazing folks that I know we will do business with again, and won a fancy ginormous smart tv to end the day!
