We are new WV residents and first timers at Mountaineer Honda. My husband brought in his Honda Ridgeline and I brought in my Honda CRV for recalls and inspections. I’ve been a loyal Honda owner for over 10 years and have never experienced the kind of service I received today. My husband and I are out of town for work and stopped by this dealership around 3:50 PM fo never experienced the kind of service I received today. My husband and I are out of town for work and stopped by this dealership around 3:50 PM for basic maintenance: an oil change, air filters, and wiper blades. I told the service advisor exactly what we needed. She said she wasn’t sure which wipers we needed but would get me a price. I said “yes, please” — especially with all the rain lately, it was important. At around 5:10 PM, she called us to ring up the service. I asked, “What about the wipers?” Her response: “Oh, the tech forgot. Technically we close at 5.” I was stunned. I reminded her that I had clearly requested them, and she offered to try to get me a price — but by then it was too late to install them. What’s the point of pricing them if no one is going to do the work? This felt like half-done, careless service — and that’s not what I expect from Honda. I left extremely disappointed. Safety matters, and being brushed off like that, especially after making the request clear from the start, is not okay. I hope this is addressed so other customers don’t have the same experience. My appointment was at 8:00am for an air bag diagnostic and a new key. It took three hours for them to complete that and only then was it at my griping did they get the car to me. How long does it take to look at a diagnostic code on a computer and make a key, not three hours. Service staff work in shorts and tee shirts and sneakers. This is not how a dealership staff should look, it is not professional. I was first in line but they evidently put other cars in front of mine event though I was waiting. Ms. King was dressed professionally and was helpful, the service side of things are very much lacking in efficiency. Not likely to return to this dealership for any reason. More
