Inventory for the F250's are super low and by the time we were finding them they were sold. Finally came across the tuck we wanted at this dealership. This is the first time we will actually be purchasing a car online, site unseen, from another state. Jerry has been super attentive, knowledgeable, and on top of it. Our entire transaction has been through texts to one another and each and every time he responds immediately. He got us a great trade in value for our existing truck and a great price on our new F250. Also worked with Mike Rhodes over the phone who confirmed all our information and tied up our paperwork. The only reason I have given the dealership a 4 star is because we have yet to take delivery of the truck which will be shipped to us (for a very reasonable price which Jerry organized) in the next few days. Once it does and we see that the truck is in perfect condition and all of our title paperwork has been taken care of we will write a new review. Eagerly awaiting our New F250. If you are looking for a truck, and happen to not live anywhere near this dealership, take a chance, so far they have handled the whole state to state purchase seamlessly. Don't trust their vehicles. Have them checked by your own mechanic. I found a 2012 Jeep online that I liked. The top of the engine was spotless and the only thing wrong was a small cut in one of the rear leather seats. Then we test drove it. While stopped at a red light it died twice. This made me more curious about the vehicles condition so I looked under it. Sure enough, the undercarriage had built up and fresh oil on it. We went back to the dealership and they put it on a rack so we could see under it with one of their mechanics that was very smart and knew what he was talking about. He told them it needed a new oil pan gasket because it was leaking all the way around, and the rear transmission seal was also leaking. The salesman came back and advised me they could "Take a couple hundred dollars off" to offset the repairs. I had already called a friend at the Dodge Dealership in New Orleans. The minimum cost to do both of those repairs was $1800.00. We told them to take $2,000.00 off and they said they couldn't do that. It also had an open Safety Recall on it. Bottom line.... First, I was able to purchase the vehicle at the no hassle advertised price. No extra dealer fees or addons. Second, I was able to purchase a Ford Courtesy Vehicle with only 1228 miles and saved thousands. Since, I am California resident I wanted the truck shipped to me and Monty suggested that I arrange for shipping myself (I did and save about $1000 dollars paying only $959.00 to ship it to me over 1960 miles, that is less than 50 cents a mile). Then working with front office finance officer Ms. Stacy Jay, I was able to save 6 percent sales tax on the purchase (California charges 8 percent and Alabama only charges 2 percent) that saved me an additional $1710 in sales tax. So, by purchasing from Mullinax Ford of Mobile I was able to save on the purchase price and the sales tax (saving two ways on the same transaction). Moral of the story, if you’re out state and Mullinax Ford of Mobile has your vehicle at your price . . . buy it (and just ask for “Monty” because he has the experience to help you through the “out of state” process).
