Our sales experience @ Autobarn Mazda/Countryside was a high-quality one. Everyone that we met that day was relaxed, courteous and respectful throughout the process. Attitudes were all very positive and high-quality one. Everyone that we met that day was relaxed, courteous and respectful throughout the process. Attitudes were all very positive and customer-service orientated-- even when people might think you weren't paying attention to them. We had a very specific budget and an in-stock, car configuration that we were visiting multiple dealerships for. We worked very well with Bassam, who was genuinely friendly and cheerful the whole time. He was very informative and responsive in our negotiations. I believe that we negotiated and pushed hard for the best deal possible, because we had done all our homework ahead of time, all the while Bassam was always upfront and clear in these discussions. He worked hard to make the deal work to our satisfaction. After we agreed on a final total price, we worked with Brian in financing. Brian was also very straight-forward, and clear in his explanations and any options they wanted to sell. He was thorough and efficient with all the paperwork. We never felt like we were rushed or being talked into anything. All the numbers were clearly stated; there was nothing hidden or surprising. He answered all questions honestly and conversationally with a good amount of humor. I especially would recommend visiting Bassam and Brian at this dealership. I hope their attitudes of professionalism, great customer service skills and awareness are exemplary of the culture there at Autobarn Countryside. More
This is the first time that the car buying experience was truly enjoyable and respectful on both ends. I did not have to talk to a manager at all to negotiate a price and the salesman was cordial, unintrusi truly enjoyable and respectful on both ends. I did not have to talk to a manager at all to negotiate a price and the salesman was cordial, unintrusive, and every other good characteristic that a salesman should be. It was great. I highly recommend this dealer and Kris as your salesman. More
The Autobarn of Countryside far exceeded my expectations. I give it the highest rating for two reasons; the salesman that sold me my car and the respect I was treated with. To start, this was my first car I give it the highest rating for two reasons; the salesman that sold me my car and the respect I was treated with. To start, this was my first car buying experience so I was afraid I would be taken advantage of. I went to one dealership in which I found my initial perfect car (the Continental Nissan Dealership in Countryside, IL). The only thing was, they would not budge on helping me get to a price I was comfortable with and they did not seem like they wanted to work with me. So I left and went to the Autobarn and I could have made a smarter move. The salesman I worked with, Bassam, treated me with respect. So much respect that I felt more like a friend than a customer. I was not pressured into buying and he was not pushy at all. At the end of the day, I ended up paying more for the Mazda than I would have paid for the other car at the other dealership but I was totally ok with it because everything was laid on the table for me to see and there were no hidden charges or fees. Bassam played a big role in the purchase of my Mazda. I would (and have) recommend this dealership to anyone looking for a new or used car. I will definitely go back to the Autobarn of Countryside in the future. More
Love my new 2010 Mazda 6 Grand Touring...... I was able to take the car home for the weekend as a courtesy before I made my decision. Having been given the chance for an extended test drive - really helpe to take the car home for the weekend as a courtesy before I made my decision. Having been given the chance for an extended test drive - really helped in finding out if the car was for me. Bassam was very friendly, professional and courteous in his approach. I went to Mazda of Countryside to purchase a new 2010 Mazda 3. My experience was not very good at all. I was left waiting and waiting. once i had the attention of a salesmen it took over 1.5 hrs to co Mazda 3. My experience was not very good at all. I was left waiting and waiting. once i had the attention of a salesmen it took over 1.5 hrs to come to an agreement. i finally agreed to purchase the vehicle and had to wait another 2 hours before i was able to work with the finance department. it was as thought once i said i would make the purchase they completely ignored me. After my purchase was complete i waited 45 mins. for someone to put on my plates and my salesmen said that because i was young he didn't think he needed to go over the features of the car with me.... he also did not specialize in mazda so he didn't know much about my car or the brand. I would DEFINITELY not recommend purchasing a car from this dealership! i have however gone to there sister dealership in Evanston and have had nothing but great experiences. They are extremely nice and accommodating. they also send maintenance reminders (which countryside never has) and coupons. The best part is that Mazda asked my opinion about my sales experience and i told them the truth. they must have emailed the dealer because the manager (Eric) contacted me and left me a very defensive voicemail. I then called him back and left a voicemail regarding my issues with him and never heard from until now. I am actually posting this because he emailed me asking to give a dealer review because "Hopefully, I have lived up to my promise which was to deliver you with a simple, honest, and hassle free vehicle purchase experience. " Apparently he didnt even remember (or care) about my previous complaints. i am glad i was given an opportunity to share my experience and i hope this helps you when considering a dealership. I must say that the Evanston Mazda Autobarn is a GREAT dealership and i will continue to go there. More
People at Autobarn are very pleasant and eager to help. I went there to buy new Mazda 6 2010. I really liked the car, but wanted to make sure that price and service will be fine. Was lucky because that day I went there to buy new Mazda 6 2010. I really liked the car, but wanted to make sure that price and service will be fine. Was lucky because that day I've got $500 rebate. As usual, I expected to have to deal with people who are pressing and trying to show me what I don't want to buy. But to my great surprise, I've got time to look around among several Mazda 6 options and then ask questions about one I liked. After we reached the deal, service was amazing. Within 1.5-2hrs I went out with license plates, insurance faxed papers to them and brand new Mazda. Since I am new to U.S., I thought that is typical. It is interesting that my cousins saw car in Church parking lot and they thought it's not my car because it usually takes time to sort plates out. Of note, I've also got lifetime free car wash (already tried) and 3 free oil changes. Really amazing service and I've got all that for very decent price. Would recommend for sure! Oh, and Mazda 6 is amazing car! More
Used the USAA car buying service and they put me in contact with multiple dealerships. Eric took the initiative to give me the bottom price immediately and successful gave me a trade in valve for my o contact with multiple dealerships. Eric took the initiative to give me the bottom price immediately and successful gave me a trade in valve for my old car that was higher than other dealerships. It was a no brainer for me. When arriving at the dealership, the car was clean and sitting right out front waiting for me. Wonderful service! More
The dealership made the sale as hassle-free as possible. I didn't feel pressured by the sales staff - they were there to answer questions and help. I went in to inquire about a car in their ad, and they di I didn't feel pressured by the sales staff - they were there to answer questions and help. I purchased my 2009 Mazda 6 from the dealership, and was sold a separate plan that was to cover all maintenance issues for the first 3 years or 36,000 miles. The first 2 times I brought it in, everything w sold a separate plan that was to cover all maintenance issues for the first 3 years or 36,000 miles. The first 2 times I brought it in, everything went fine. I just signed a piece of paper and was on my way. The third time, they started telling me about all the things that were no longer included and that I would have to pay for. I asked to speak to the man that sold me the plan, and was told he would be right with me because he was with a customer. I could see him in his office joking around with the salesmen. After an hour of waiting I went and asked for my car back. Once I demanded my car back and said I was going to call corporate, he finally came out. When I refused to pay extra, he ordered his workers to start pulling parts out of my car that weren't even changed. I almost had to call the police! My car was even returned with a scratch. After reporting the issue to corporate the GM supposedly fixed the issue, and took care of the services that were supposed to be provided, and fixed the scratch, but the scratch is still there.
