MOST DISHONEST EXPERIENCE! We've thought about buying a truck for years. It was a big decision for us considering we didn't have any car payments or debt. This dealership alway We've thought about buying a truck for years. It was a big decision for us considering we didn't have any car payments or debt. This dealership always had nice looking trucks and one night we stopped by. I was helped out by Moose and Daniel who were very kind and very helpful. Moose was always quick to get back and very kind and understanding but also seemed like he was the middleman trying to get everyone else to respond. I have absolutely nothing bad to say about him and his efforts to help. He was very good to work with but didn't have the power to make anything right. We ended up buying a GNC Denali which was a huge decision for us to go into debt for. We were able to negotiate different Wheels into the price. All seemed well and we were very excited for our new truck. Once I started working with the service guy on getting new Wheels he was also very helpful, although he said we had hardly any funds to get the wheels we wanted. (Even though we worked $2,400 into the deal to cover this) He tried his hardest to work with us but said that sales was holding him back from getting anything worthwhile. We ended up paying $800 additional out of pocket to get the wheels we were hoping for just to get it over with and be done. It took weeks of me calling and nagging and asking about it. I honestly don't know where the ball was always dropping in these situations because everyone seemed nice and helpful while also not being helpful at all. 4 days into driving our new truck, the check engine light went on, I went and had the codes run by jiffy lube and it showed nine different codes popping up which was a sure sign that the codes were cleared before the sale of the car. I took it down to the dealer obviously nervous and frustrated. They filled up the fluids, reset the codes and told us we were good to go. 6 days later the check engine light came on again and when I went to take it in for a second opinion outside of the dealership, we found out that the whole truck needs a brand new transmission because the one we had is shot. It is going to cost us $10,000 out of pocket, money we don't have. I went back to the dealership but they refused to do anything to make the situation right. They offered a trade-in value of $13,000 less than what we paid for our truck two weeks earlier. I was expressing my frustration in the kindest way possible and they didn't give a crap. They sold me an extended warranty and claimed it would fix all the issues. I paid another $5700 dollars for that and took the truck to a different shop where they told me that the extended warranty wasn't going to work because it had to be 50 miles outside of the dealership and it also didn't cover pre-existing conditions. Everything has felt shady although the people I have worked with have been kind, we totally got screwed. As I have been telling people this experience, everyone has come out and said National is one of the shadiest, most dishonest companies out there and I have heard nothing but horror stories. We now have a truck we can't drive for 3 months. We are out more money than what we have. National did absolutely nothing to make it right and no one uttered any word of apologies. They just sat there acting inconvenienced by my frustrations. I reached out to the owner and never heard anything back. I will never recommend this place and I highly recommend you find somewhere else who is trustworthy. We got totally screwed and I hope nobody else has to go through what we are now going to be facing this next year trying to figure out how to pay off a full transmission we didn't know we had to pay for, two weeks after buying a truck. Yes, I bought a car from them. That was as is after they had told me to come down that they already ran my credit and I was getting into a newer vehicle and I was already approved That was as is after they had told me to come down that they already ran my credit and I was getting into a newer vehicle and I was already approved when I get down there. They’re like oh well we can’t get you into that so you we can give you this for as is will end up buying it. Excited to get home. Been a long day. Get home. Start driving away in the car. I’m like wait. I didn’t get no paperwork oh maybe it’s in the glove department in the glove department no registration no nothing. They were supposed to fill up the gas and they told me if I paid more they would fill it up. Well, they gave me $10 for it and it was completely on empty. They so I call him and they say oh well we’ll have to get you the stuff because you have to pay for it I’m like I know I pay for my registration, but I need a bill cell or something showing I bought the car so for three days me calling them finally they send me it over. I go to DMV and they tell me that they don’t own the car. I need a bill of sale for the owner. I tell them they said oh well let me explain. No there’s nothing to explain. You guys told me a bunk car But now they won’t answer to me so here I sit with the car that I can’t even register with them, not answering that I paid for. They also tried to run my credit card again and my debit card again for over the amount without my permission. They are a scan. They will lie to you. They will do everything just to make you try to get a card from them don’t trust him More
Incredibly dishonest dealership. As part of the negotiated sales price, I was asked to finance through National. Finance manager offered a warranty in which a portion of the cost would be covered by which ever bank serviced the loan. Additionally, it would lower the APR by a certain percentage. Neither were true and this was intentionally falsified in the sale. Disgusting sales practice with zero ethics. Do not do business with this dealership. More

I had a great experience with many of the staff at National Auto Plaza. I'm from Florida and have purchased many cars, and as a female, I expect to be taken advantage of but that was certainly not the National Auto Plaza. I'm from Florida and have purchased many cars, and as a female, I expect to be taken advantage of but that was certainly not the case. A few issues needed to be worked out, and JJ, Eric, Ryan, Dave, Alex, Kemo, Sean and Brandon all treated me respectfully. Among other things, without any hesitation, they stood by their word and agreed to pay for a damaged radio on an "as is" vehicle which may or may not have been their responsibility. I will be returning to my home state with a rather expensive "souvenir," but more than that, I will have a very positive impression of the people of Utah because of the way these fine men took care of me throughout this transaction. Well played, gentlemen, well played. More

So when we describe nap! We came to nap years ago and it was the worst experience we’ve ever had they were rude snoooty and just downright terrible! So when we walked in this time we weren’t expecting much we were just waiting for the turn down! But we walked In and immediately met Roger and he is by far the best car salesman we’ve ever had! We gave him a challenge and he made it a reality!! And the finance guy Ryan is a master in his field!! he made the impossible happen! Never did we think we’d be driving off in the vehicle that we did! And then to top it off they got us a second vehicle! They are a great team they made sure we were comfortable the entire time and if not went back and worked it to where we were comfortable! Just amazing!! You two kick xxx! Thank you so much. I was working with Bobby and had told him what vehicle I wanted and sent over all my info and my financial application, along with my trade in information and pictures. Basically we had gone back and forth wanted and sent over all my info and my financial application, along with my trade in information and pictures. Basically we had gone back and forth for a day or two giving information and pics . I wanted to be 100% sure I was approved before I drove 45 min and spent my time at a dealership. He took all my info, ran my credit. Checked my trade in truck info. Then told me to come on up I was approved for the vehicle I wanted. I asked him SEVERAL times if he was sure. He reassured me that yes I was approved for the vehicle I wanted. So I got a sitter, put some gas in the gas hog truck I wanted to trade in. blah blah. I get up to the location in Sandy and he immediately hands me off to another sales person. Because he was to busy. Has me fill out another app. 20 min later I’m told I need a co-signer by the new sales person or money down. Like WHAT? That’s not what I had been told for 2 days now! The entire thing was so unprofessional and rude. Not to mention such a waste of time. The women who was helping me inside was kind and apologetic and frustrated with me. When I went to leave I ran into him and said “so I wasn’t approved like you said!?” And he said he was going in to talk to them and ran off. I text him asking him for an explanation of what changed and he won’t even answer me now. I wasted my time and money driving clear up to Sandy because I trusted somebody who SHOULD be trustworthy in a situation like this. They handle delicate information and help people make a huge purchase. So to be treated like my time money and effort meant absolutely nothing really irritates me and puts a sour taste in my mouth for this company. I won’t be going back and I won’t be recommending this place to others. More
Be very careful doing business with this dealership. If possible, go to another dealership. This dealership has a reputation of telling you that they have financing for you and then a few days later cal If possible, go to another dealership. This dealership has a reputation of telling you that they have financing for you and then a few days later calling and telling you to bring the car back or come up with a huge down payment. Happened to me twice. I've bought three vehicles from this location and every time I've had a bad experience. I guess I didn't learn the first two times, but now I've learned to stay away from them and get the word out about this shady dealership. They will also tell you that your trade in is worth a certain amount and then when it comes time to do the deal, they lower the amount of your trade in. Manager at the Sandy location is rude and is not helpful at all, stay away from him. Only reason I gave them two stars was because they generally have a good selection of lifted trucks. More
