Wow the Finance team at this location is very very unprofessional. Victor, and Alex the manager, just wow. There are no words for how passive aggressive Victor was towards me. Basically handed me an application and wouldn't tell me what to fill out and walks away. Literally walked away without telling me what I needed to fill out - so I filled it out to find out only need the top filled out on. At the beginning every thing was going great - I was going to get the car, they gave me great deal but when I told them they forgot to look at my trade in Victor got mad. He wouldn't look at my car and gave me a low offer that was very insulting because they didn't tell him about the the trade in and they couldn’t get take back the numbers they had presented me. Apparently they can increase the APR depending on the trade in, and was mad because he was losing money on the deal so then refused to even look at my car. The salesman knew that I was feeling uncomfortable by his passive aggressive attitude but seemed scared to say anything. I felt very unwelcome and as I was leaving the dealership he came outside and I let him know how unprecedented he was to work with. He said he didn’t care because no one‘s going to do anything about it because they were losing money on the deal. The dealership salesmen were awesome and they apologized on behalf of the seller finance team. They got mad because they couldn't pull more money out of me so they tried to do it by low balling me on my trade. They also told me they don't have a boss and it's a family run business. The owner should really take a look at taking action on his finance team. The culture at this dealership is very very bad and I feel sorry for the good employee More

While the sales team strive to offer an optimal experience at South Bay Volkswagen, for obvious reasons, the rest of the individuals employed there are less than satisfactory, put politely. I purch experience at South Bay Volkswagen, for obvious reasons, the rest of the individuals employed there are less than satisfactory, put politely. I purchased an "Certified" vehicle there and within four days I had to return to have the battery replaced. This after the 100 Point Inspection had been conducted prior to the sale. I also was forced to wait over one month to receive my plates and tags, and to no surprise at this point, they too were subpar as I was being given used plates and with only a 6 month tag life. I had been informed that a 1 year tag allotment would be provided by a Financing person and by a manager. When I returned to address the discrepancy, I was forced to endure an argumentative and contentious staff. I was not accommodated adequately and when I made the observation that whatever shortcomings I have experienced in the entire process were a direct reflection of the abilities of the staff there, I was instantly and severely reproached and attacked by the manager, J. Lopez, for having done so. I advised him that it was not in his best interest to condescend, patronize, nor raise his tone at me and he accused me of threatening him as is natural for those lacking in ability and in grace and elegance of business service. I clarified that it was not any form of threat but a warning. He must have thought that I would demean myself to lower to the level of engaging in a physical altercation. Not surprised. Incompetence and lack-luster service were the take away that I have from conducting business with South Bay Volkswagen and I will of course share my thoughts with others when the opportunity arises. I was close to conducting my business with Mission Bay VW, but I did not because I found the model that I wanted there. I will know better next time. More
