Mr Skaff, According to your vin number I show that the vehicle you purchased was deemed a total loss due to water damage in 2016. The vehicle was then rebuilt and provided a rebuilt title in the state of Michigan when ownership changed hands. The Branded Rebuilt Title was then again reissued in the state of Illinois under your ownership. Based on this information, it appears that you knew you were not buying a pristine BMW, but one that had the lowest price tag due to the rebuilt branded title. According to CarFax, the start of warranty date shows 05/07/2015, which means that even if the car did not have a branded title, the vehicle would have been outside of it's 4 year or 50,000 mile warranty. However, this information is moot as the BMW warranties become void when the vehicle is declared a total loss, which it had been on 10/24/2016. This is BMW's policy, not one of Newbold BMW. As far as one of my sales people telling you that this is a known problem, I also question your honesty. This is NOT a known problem for BMW's 335xi's of any years. Had this been a known problem BMW would have extended the warranty on the transmission as they have for other known issues on other vehicles. Again this would be a moot point because the warranty coverage, outside of recalls, is voided when a vehicle is declared a total loss. If one of my sales people actually said this to you, I would like to know who so that they can be reprimanded for spreading false information to customers. Finally its time for my opinion. I believe you bought this 3 series because it was the cheapest one on the market. It was disclosed to you that the title was branded, but you didn't care because the price was too good for you to pass. You didn't take the time to do the research to know the warranty was voided and all this information is truly shocking and you are angry. Unfortunately your anger is misplaced as it should be directed towards yourself and whomever sold it to you. You are angry that you are not able to have us commit insurance fraud for you or make an exemption because you feel like you deserve it. To use your phase "modern colloquialism", you need to learn more about the phrases "Too Good To Be True" and "Buyer Beware" as you have quickly discovered that the amazing deal you received has turned out to be not a deal at all.
