After researching various makes, models, and accessories available, we decided to visit various car dealerships. After visiting several, we decided to visit Newton Ford in Shelbyville where we met Lisa. We quickly realized that finally someone was there to listen to us! Lisa was very patient, focusing on our needs, and began the long task of educating us on the various options available to us. Lisa quickly gained our trust and worked with us for several weeks, maintaining a "What can we do for you" attitude, and never made us feel the least bit pressured during our decision making process. She politely sent us information when requested, followed up with phone calls, and respectfully let us know they entire group was there to assist us in any way. During our negotiations, Wendy and Anthony also were available to see how they could help us with our decision. With our new found knowledge, we chose a F-150 Supercrew, confident we were making the right choice. Lisa exemplifies the meaning of an honest, customer focused sales person who cares about her clients. When the financial/paperwork phase of the purchase came, James was equally patient and courteous. I must understand what I am signing, and he took his time explaining forms, figures, and documents until I was satisfied. After our purchase we were contacted several times to make sure we were still satisfied and there were no issues with the vehicle. This type of customer focused dealership is hard to find, and I am confident we will have a long term relationship with them. More

Wonderful Experience. Lisa and Anthony were an excellent team. Bad situation turned good I had originally driven 25 miles to get to Newton to see a car I'd seen online and called about. The car was to be waiting on me to arrive for a test I had originally driven 25 miles to get to Newton to see a car I'd seen online and called about. The car was to be waiting on me to arrive for a test drive. When I arrived, I was told they'd sold it... the night before! Funny thing, because that very morning, they texted me to see if I was still on the way to see the vehicle. So.. that was not cool, and I was not happy, to be honest. I will say that system needs some tweaking- internal communication wasn't the greatest. HOWEVER... After sitting with Sam for a few minutes, he explained what had happened, and that another Newton dealership had taken the car that morning, and this dealership wasn't told about it. He showed me some similar vehicles, most of which I had no interest in. He then offered to bring around a Nissan that was a year older, but with half the mileage of the car I'd originally targeted. He spent time with my son and I during our test drive, and was very polite, coureous and gracious. In the end, it turns out this was a better overall deal for me than the first one. Kudos to Sam Simpkins, Tim Stevens, Heather Slayton and the crew that worked together to get me into a nice, clean, low-mileage vehicle that will be great for my business travels. I'll recommend them, along with the team. Still can't vouch for the lousy communication between Newton entities, but I'm hopeful that will improve. The folks at this particular Chevy/Buick/GMC location turned a bad situation into a positive experience overall, and definitely earned their keep on this one. Thank you! More
