If I could give this dealer zero stars and still rate them I would! We went to Newton just to see what they had on the lot. My husband kind of liked one of the used Titans. It was base model with no upgr them I would! We went to Newton just to see what they had on the lot. My husband kind of liked one of the used Titans. It was base model with no upgrades. They wanted close to 30k for it. I made the statement I was on the fence of just paying cash for a older truck. My husband went inside for them to show him a few numbers to see if the payment would work for us. We went home to get our children from school. The next day we got a call from the salesman asking when we could come sign the papers when my husband was reluctant he put the finance manager on the phone to tell him how great of a deal he had got him and our payments where right where we wanted them! My husband ask multiple time where the payment was because we had a hour drive. The guy kept telling him “I’m not allowed to tell you the payment over the phone but come in and I can show you!” When we got to the dealer it was after hours. We sat down and they presented us with a payment way over what we had told them. The finance manger went back and magically got more money for our trade and brought the payment down. We signed the paperwork and the guy told us we needed our bank statements or 1099. After being told we didn’t need to bring anything but ourselves down we didn’t have the bank statements we needed. The guy told us “it’s ok this 1099 will work” We left kn in our new Titan. The next day (Thursday) the finance guy called saying he needed our bank statements after all I told him it would be Monday at the earliest because we were out of town. Monday came and he emailed us wanting the bank statements quickly and emailed us a form “the bank will need to fax back “ after we signed it. Making it sound like it was a form the bank would need. I took it to the bank when I requested my bank statements I was informed by our bank that it was actually a form allowing anyone to access our tax transcripts. They were wanting access to our last 5 years of transcripts. I submitted the bank statements and told them we didn’t want to sign the paper. The finance guy told us “it’s ok they are going to push it through with the bank statements!” Tuesday morning they had management call my husband trying to convince him it was a great idea to sign the papers. The manager said “well I will get it pushed through anyways” Around lunch time Wednesday my husband called Newton Nissan because he hadn’t heard anything from them. They tried once again to convince him to sign the papers to allow access to our tax transcripts. We refused to sign the paper and was informed if we didn’t sign them the loan wouldn’t be funded and they would take our truck back. My husband informed Alex we would just bring the truck back and part ways. On our way to Shelbyville the actual finance company called because “Newton requested them call and tell us that they were ready to find the long they just needed those tax transcripts! We dropped the truck off to them and left. The next morning we went to a local dealer purchased our beautiful fully loaded 4x4 Nissan Titan with a 3 year 36k mile warranty for the same monthly payment (72mo instead of 84 mo though) I got to keep my van and pay it off also! Come to find out Newton Nissan had actually inflated our income to the point the original bank was questioning it and when we couldn’t prove the $160,000 income with bank statements they were trying to prove it with tax transcripts. We told them our actual income which was significantly lower than the $160k Newton Nissan claimed we made. Stay far far faaaar away from these people!!!!!!!!!!! More
