Positive experience as far as car buying goes I had a positive experience at Nielsen. My sales rep Jose was very pleasant and knowledgeable about the vehicles. I feel he steered me to the right car to meet my needs and didn't try to upsell me on anything, in fact, he talked me out of higher level trims that were unnecessary for my needs and wants, I thank him for that. The process of negotiating for a car is still absurd, You speak with the sales rep who goes to speak to the manager who doesn't come out from behind the curtain. Numbers are scribbled on a piece of paper so that you can't understand them and you have to be very specific to break them out. Eventually you get to a price and then you find out the stuff that is on top of that like window etchings, document fees and the like. Eventually the manager shows himself. The entire experience is ridiculous in today's day and age with the internet and car pricing sites. Why car buying isn't more straight forward it's a mystery to me. But all in all, a positive experience at Nielsen. More
