Had a very negative and interesting experience today. We had back and forth dialogue with a sales rep and scheduled the appointment from Williamsburg to drive up and see a Pathfinder. Upon entering the building we were greeted kind of rudely from the front desk. I said “ok maybe it’s just busy” but I was told they were going to pull the car out for us on the lot to see, but we didn’t know the car was actually on the showroom floor so we say “hmm ok here’s the car”. As we were waiting for the sales rep, our 9 year-old daughter (who understands the function of the car as we had seen them previously) proceeds to follow the right process to get in the third row....instead I get asked rather snobbishly and rudely from the same front desk rep “could you please not have your kid climb on the vehicle” First she didn’t climb, second, it’s interesting how the first person you greet at the front door , who should be welcoming and warm, talked down to us as if we are going to some how going to break or damage the vehicle. Really? I attribute this to her lack of maturity and experience. We kindly told them thank you for your time and left. When the sales manager came out, he apologized but to be honest didn’t seem to interested in making things right. Almost like we were being “Karen’s” and just wanted us to leave. I’ve been in the business before and I had never seen anything like this happen ...ever.....rude sales folks worried that a car, that is meant to seat seven people, would have kid touches and damages. The way they approached us , it made it seem like we can’t parent our kid. If you have small children and want them to see a car, take them to another dealer that understands that kids (if behaving properly) can indeed be part of the process. More
