Was very happy that Rocking booked appointment during initial phone call after verifying parts availability for $550 job. Overall wasn't an absolutely horrible experience but was definitely one of the most difficult car purchases I've had. We had gone to simply look at the vehicle but before we could even get to that they imme definitely one of the most difficult car purchases I've had. We had gone to simply look at the vehicle but before we could even get to that they immediately wanted to talk numbers. Cool, I'm used to those tactics but what was worse is they wouldn't understand that we were already pre-qualified and decided on a loan. We never asked about price changes, never asked to lower the price or discount we simply wanted to see the car and if we liked it then purchase. Well 2 and a half hours later we still had not seen the vehicle and their finance/bankers were coming back with ridiculous rates/monthly payment attempts to the point where I lost my cool a bit and was ready to walk out. It took me getting the bank who I pre-qualified with on the phone for them to finally display the rate and payment I was expecting. I had had a friend who worked in a dealership before tell me this was a tactic some places used, try and convince you your credit came back otherwise or that whatever numbers they were bringing were the best they could offer when in fact they were raising the APR on the back end on top of what the bank was actually sending back so they could make their money. We still ended up purchasing the vehicle once they came to their senses but we will probably never return to this dealership. The two salesmen that worked with us were great, young fellows but it was the finance team/bankers and some other salesman who came and tried to convince us our credit factors weren't strong enough that really destroyed this experience. I wasn't going to review but since I've been badgered with automated emails to leave a review here is my honest experience. More
