What a Great Experience!!! Not so with Nissan of Richmond. Through a Craigslist ad, I found a couple of cars that I thought would be within my price range and sent an email, stating the truth about my credit and the recent repo, expecting nothing. William Jackson III responded to my email within about 24 hours. He asked me a few questions and told me he was going to do his best to get me in the car I inquired about. the next day, I noticed the car had sold, emailed him, thanking him for his time; he responded on the spot with suggestions of 3 other cars. I liked them all and applied for credit. I was preapproved but, well, we all know how it can go, the finance companies want more information and explanations and it was an entire day of providing these things, discussing my budget, and updates on the financing hunt. I got a bit discouraged, so I emailed him and said, I understood if he couldn't work it out and appreciated all his work (which, by that time would have been about a steady 5-6+ hours of emails to me and who knows how many emails they had made to finance companies over that time period). He emailed me right back and said they had worked it out. I was asked to come out the the dealership, so I did. When I walked in, was greeted and almost immediately, I was met by a team of smiling faces who had been working on my behalf - Mr. Jackson came and talked to me for a few minutes, introduced me to his internet team who had been working so hard for me - all of them smiling and happy - and I was humbled by all the positivity and encouragement I got from them and because of all the work they had done for me. We waited a bit, but they made certain we were comfortable and had coffee and checked on us frequently - but not so frequently as to be annoying - telling us what was going on with every check-in. Finally they brought my car around for a test drive. I nearly jumped for joy! It was a beautiful 2012 Nissan Versa Sedan (which is the newest car I have ever owned AND drives and handles like a dream, btw - oh and the mpg? 35ish while I was test driving). The whole deal was completed the next day and I drove off the lot beaming. Here, I would also like to make note of the building itself; everywhere you look it is clean and open and light-filled. The chairs were very comfortable and arranged in ways that you could chat or not, as you liked. There was great music playing and the overall atmosphere was happy and positive. In the service waiting area there is a large screen TV with a sitting area and next to that, a sort of dining area with very comfortable seating. They even a kids room with a chalkboard wall, books, toys and a TV that is set up to watch videos. I had my nearly 2 yr old grandson with me for purchase day and he loved it there, too! They have really thought of the customer's comfort and satisfaction in numerous ways. To conclude, I would like to say I am 57 years old, have bought many cars over the years and this was the first 100% pleasant, no... totally enjoyable... car-purchasing experience I have ever had. I took a chance on a non-BuyHerePayHere dealer for once and I will never regret it! I am grateful to Mr. Jackson, Calvin Boston and Anthony Wood, as well as the entire internet team. For the first time ever, I haven't had one second's worth of buyer's remorse and that is due to the quality and quantity of work they did to ensure that I was completely satisfied with my car and my financing. Every smiling, happy face at Nissan of Richmond changed my whole perception of car buying and I am most likely their customer "for life". Trust me, if you are in the market for a car, send them an email - you'll never regret it!!! More

Friendly people, but horrible experience Upsetting experience. It took 8+ hours to get a new car. Was prepared to put $2000 cash down, but it took 8+ hours for someone to help me out and get everything done. I bought a 2015 Nissan Versa with manual windows/doors/trunk locks, and I agreed to pay $1000 to upgrade them to automatic. It took 7+ days for them to do that. The job looks COMPLETELY UNPROFESSIONAL. Extremely unhappy at how butchered my car looks now. If someone had just told me how terrible my car would look now, I wouldn't have had that done. (The kit for auto windows is $70 on eBay - had I known that beforehand, I would have just bought that.) Tried to complain and got a run-around for 3+ hours. They tried to sell me a different car for $60 extra a month ("only $15 a week!!" - well, that's an extra $4,000 on my total loan - thanks, but no thanks.) All I want is my original car in an unbutchered state. Furious. More
NOT a Happy Camper I had a hard time saying I would recommed this dealership. I LOVE my car, that's the only reason. My sales experience was HORRIBLE!!! I've bought bran I had a hard time saying I would recommed this dealership. I LOVE my car, that's the only reason. My sales experience was HORRIBLE!!! I've bought brand new cars and used before at different dealerships and have never had this type of experience. When I walked in I was treated like gold, by the time I got to the car buying process - I had to negotiate for EVERTHING from price to floor mats. When I had agreed to buy the car but hadn't signed the paperwork yet, still trying to make sure floormats would be included. I was told "time was money", I didnt hear this once but several times. Again if I didn't LOVE my car, I would have walked. If you do decide on Nissan of Richmond, do your research on the car you want and the features, know the KBB value and what other dealers offers are FIRST, that's what helped me out greatly! P.S. When agreeing to the title tax and tags paper - question a fee of $300 and something I can't remember what they call it and my sales guy failed to mention this to me until I was in the finance office. Long story short I REFUSED to pay it and they had to take it off the car price and adjust the taxes owed. Do your homework and be ready to walk if not. More
Quality of service is poor but quickly corrected. This wasted a day of my time taking my car back to have the repairs repaired. -- They were able to workout a resolution and resolved the issues quickly and professionally. Always check your vehicle over. I will be returning because I know they care about me as a customer and my vehicle. They showed world class customer service in the way they handled themselves through the process. More
Best Nissan Dealership EVER!!! I already owned an older model Nissan and was looking for another car after spending $$$$ maintaining the car that I had. I came to the Nissan of Ric I already owned an older model Nissan and was looking for another car after spending $$$$ maintaining the car that I had. I came to the Nissan of Richmond to look for a car b/c they serviced my car earlier in Feb 2015 and did great work/customer service (Thanks Ted Belk!!). I went in to meet with Calvin Boston to test drive 2011 Nissan. I had a particular budget and I was very nervous and skeptical about buying another car after years of not having a car payment (no car payments since 2006!). Mr. Boston was very patient, attentive and helpful and offered to show me other cars within my budget. HE'S THE MAN!!! I am now the proud owner of a 2014 Nissan! Thank you so much, Mr. Boston, for the wonderful service. Don't be surprised if my sister pays you a visit in the future:) More
