My experience with Nissan is bittersweet. The car is excellent, the performance outrageous, all in all the car is all that my family needed. However, I had two experiences that made me to take the decision of not buying another car or recommend Nissan of Richmond (West Broad St) to anyone ever. The first one, was that the day I bought the car I signed documents with a car value of $ 27,402.33. The same night that we made the business and that everything was signed, I received a call from the sales person (Ms. Money Stephen) saying that my payments would be lower and to get that I should go Nissan the next day (April 7- Friday). That Friday, I receive a call from Mr. Yousuf (Finance Manager) saying that due to the Easter it would be better if we could go the next Monday to sign the documentation. Finally, we ended up to go on Monday April 10th to receive the good news of the lower payments. However, it was not that way, when we arrived Mr. Yousuf told us that the only think that had changed was that the $1,500.00 of down payment were not included by error in the documentation and that now they were including it. I was surprised because when the sales person called me she told me something different. At the end, I signed the documentation but when I arrived at home I realized that arbitrarily the price of the car I bought was increased from $ 27,402.33 to $28,840.21. The next day I went again to get an explanation but no one was able to clarify that and asked me to talk with Mr. Darren who was there the day of the negotiation. We went again to Nissan on Wednesday April 12th, but the summary was that they printed the day of purchase by error a car value of $ 27,402.33….. That explanation does not continue to convince me but in the end, we ended up accepting it because we had no choice. The second experience (to be sincere the one that most annoys me) is that the day we bought the car we couldn’t realize that one of the rims had a scratch. That day was raining and to be sincere neither me or my spouse were able to see something. The next day, first hour in the morning we realized that a scratch was there and when we looked the pictures we took the day before when we received the car we noticed that before leaving Nissan those scratches were already there. As we didn’t go to Nissan on April 7th because our appointment with Mr.Yousuf was postponed I went on Saturday April 8th. I showed everything to Mr. Money and she told me that by Monday she will give me a follow up. On Monday, she asked me to bring the car for solving it, the next day and that is what we did, and the obvious thing that I wanted was to have a new rim since they gave me the car with a scratched wheel. Apparently, the solution that Mr. Money had was just to fix it, that day I told him that we would not accept it and then the next day I clarified it again with Mr. Darren. After insisting on a solution, because neither Mr. Darren or Ms. Money contacted me by their will, Mr. Darren finally asked me to bring the car on Wednesday, April 19. I dropped it off, and when I picked it up in the afternoon I realized that they didn't change the rim, but rather repaired it. My disagreement is that I bought a new car, that's why I want a new rim, I didn't buy a second-hand or repaired car (for that I would have gone elsewhere). Summarizing I have wasted a lot of my time with disastrous service. In the end, I don't know if you take advantage because I am a foreigner or because you are simply not sincere. I am very sorry that you are not honest and that you do not earn the loyalty of a customer. My experience: Excellent car, terrible follow up. More
