I contacted 25 dealerships in our search for a Honda Accord Hybrid EX-L. We met with five of them and had either negative experiences (e.g. “confirmed” test drives that turned out not to be in the lot o Accord Hybrid EX-L. We met with five of them and had either negative experiences (e.g. “confirmed” test drives that turned out not to be in the lot or available at all, last minute price changes, sudden inability to use an external lender.), or terrible price gouging. On the other hand, our experience with Oliver Rose at Norm Reeves Honda was very easy and straightforward, We reached out to them through Costco Auto and we were able to find out when the next car we wanted would be in and how much it would cost easily through email/text. This something that surprisingly less than a quarter of dealerships we contacted were wont to do. Furthermore, Oliver called us right away when the car happened to arrive much earlier than expected, instead of waiting to see if they could sell it to somebody else for more money / without the Costco discount (something that actually happened to us with another dealership). We were able to use our preferred lender (credit union) and discounts (Costco Auto) without any issues, and while there was a misunderstanding about the final price due to the exterior color extra fee, we had an overall very positive experience and took our new car home that same day.
