Unprofessional and Unknowledgeable If you are looking for a typical unpleasant and dreadful car buying experience, then you will want to head straight to Huggins Honda in North Richland If you are looking for a typical unpleasant and dreadful car buying experience, then you will want to head straight to Huggins Honda in North Richland Hills, Texas. While the physical facility itself is very impressive and inviting, the management team is incredibly unprofessional and unknowledgeable. I was in the market for a 2018 Honda Accord Sport with a manual transmission to replace my wife's 2017 model. I had spoken with several dealerships through their online portals and received a competitive price quote from the new car internet sales manager at Huggins, Brandon Nguyen. We set up an appointment for that evening, but Brandon was not at the dealership when I arrived at the appointment time. This should have been a sign of things to come, but I soldiered on anyway. I was reassigned to another internet sales manager named Kyle. Kyle helped me facilitate an appraisal on my trade-in and also allowed me to test drive the vehicle. He accidentally pulled up the incorrect vehicle on the first test drive, and we did not realize it until we were almost finished with the test drive. He then accidentally walked me out to another incorrect vehicle before finally pulling around the correct vehicle. During the test drive, Kyle did not try to overly sell the vehicle and let me drive a wide range of roads to get a good feel for the car, which I appreciated. In fact, this was actually one of the better test drives that I have taken, and that is significant considering how often I trade vehicles. I liked the vehicle, and we moved inside of the dealership to talk numbers. It was at this point that I was introduced to the sales manager, Romah Pugh. Romah was extremely pleasant at first, and I really liked his straightforward demeanor. After some back and forth on the trade appraisal, we agreed on a price that was fair for both of us. I filled out the credit application, signed some other miscellaneous paperwork, and notified Kyle that I intended to finance with Honda Financial using the Honda College Grad Program. It was at this point that things took a turn for the worse. Romah walked into the room and advised me that I could not use the Honda College Grad Program and also take advantage of Honda's 2.9% promotional finance offer. I responded to him that he must be mistaken because I had used both of these programs in conjunction with one another on the 2017 Honda Accord that I was trading in. Romah answered by stating that Honda has never allowed these two programs to be used simultaneously and even went so far as to say that it would be "illegal" for him to do so. Having an MBA, I can tell you that I am well versed in banking and finance laws and knew immediately that what he was saying was undeniably false. I simply told him that it was not true, and it was at that point that he completely lost his cool and became emphatically combative. He loudly proclaimed that he was "not going to argue with [me]" and proceeded to walk out of the room. I stated to him that I did not wish to argue - I simply asked that he not lie to me. Evidently this request was too damaging to his ego, and he quickly walked up to where I was sitting, stood over me in a frighteningly hostile manner, pointed to the door, and told me to "have a nice day." Needless to say, I was completely dumfounded. I quickly gathered up my things, picked up the keys to my trade, and walked out the door. Never in my entire life have I been asked to leave the premises of any establishment, especially a car dealership in which I have already agreed to buy the car. Within ten minutes of leaving the dealership, my phone was ringing with the caller ID displaying Huggins Honda. It was Dan Smith, the new car director. He began by offering an apology and stating that I had been provided some bad information by Romah. He explained that Honda does indeed allow the promotional financing to be used with the college grad program (as I tried to tell Romah). Dan then asked if I would be interested in coming back to the dealership to complete the deal. I expressed that I would first like an apology from Romah for the way that he treated me by publicly trying to humiliate me (unsuccessfully) in front of other customers at the dealership when he was wrong in the first place. Romah did give me what I perceived to be a somewhat genuine apology, but, given the circumstances, I am not sure what choice he had with the new car director listening in. He thanked me for educating him on Honda's financing guidelines, but it is incredibly troubling that a sales manager would not be up to date on his own company's policies, particularly in the finance industry. It is apparent to me that Romah and the rest of his staff are in dire need of some re-training. Romah concluded the conversation by telling me that he understood that his appalling conduct might have left a bad taste in my mouth and he would not fault me for not wanting to go forward with the deal. I accepted his apology and finished the conversation. Despite having dealt with some unscrupulous car dealers in the past, this experience takes the cake for me. As mentioned, I have never been asked to leave any establishment, and I have never encountered a personality like Romah's that flipped so suddenly despite him, admittedly, being in the wrong. I did not go through with the deal, and I continue in the search of my next vehicle. I wrote this review not to torture myself with my anecdotal experience but to give fair warning to all unsuspecting customers that might be considering Huggins Honda for their next vehicle purchase. If Huggins Honda was willing to lose a guaranteed sale in such a crass way, I can only imagine how they might treat customers that have yet to agree to the terms of a deal. My advice: tread carefully. More

I had two really hands on kids under three, and was buying a minivan by myself. I thought that the salesmen might try to use that against me (ie. being distracted). They were fun with my kids, but didn’t prolong my visit once I said I wanted to buy. Their price was the best within 500 miles of McKinney. We came to an agreement about price literally within 5 seconds—again no pressure, no tricks, no feeling like the other shoe was about to drop. They are so good I will recommend that my friends and family on the metroplex drive there instead of the Honda dealership three miles from my house. From start to finish I had nothing but the best experience even in a stressful situation—created by car buying with young kids. They were fantastic and I could not recommend this dealership enough. Each employee I met seemed happy to be at work and like they liked their job. They also seemed to care about your experience. More

Harry Whitworth in sales and Yvette Garza in finance, are one dynamic duo! They seem genuine and worked miracles to get us in a car we were ecstatic about quickly and without making us put in more money than we were comfortable with. Their communication with each other and with me was far superior to any other dealership we worked with. I was up front and honest about my credit, and Harry was up front and honest about his expectations. Enter Yvette! I’m convinced this woman is the modern day Wonder Woman. She surprised both Harry and me by not only getting us what we asked for, but by actually getting us better than we asked for! I honestly can’t say enough about these two. They have made a forever customer out of me, and I have been telling everyone I know that they HAVE to go here! More

My wife and I’s salesman, Theo, was extremely courteous, friendly, and professional. He greeted us immediately and continued to serve us well despite having to bounce around a short-staffed office. Once we had settled on a car, Theo was very honest in our pricing discussions and was willing to do what he could to secure a deal that we were ultimately very pleased with. We never felt pressured or coerced into any decisions but rather were treated with sincere respect. I would recommend Huggins and Theo highly. More
