Yes, you have to play games if you want anywhere near a fair price. This dealership is not afraid to markup their prices and then shoo you out the door if you won't pay for it. Simple as that. However, when confronted with the reality that another dealership is not selling markups on new vehicles, well, that's when Saeed Naderi said, "You show me a dealership selling at MSRP and I'll go down there and buy the cars myself!" Hey, I'm not busting the guy for playing the game. These are big boy purchases and they are ripe for hidden areas for profit. That's how it is. So I told him, "No need to head down there mister Saeed, just call up Tustin Hyundai, they'll tell you. If they lie, they'll pay the price on these kinds of forums, you know." "Ok," he said dismissively, and he walked away presumably to call them. That left me in conversation with Kevin Nguyen. Kevin Nugyen is good. He's kind. He has his hands tied by what can truly be negotiated over car prices, but I recommend booking appointments under him. Saeed was not willing to evaporate the ridiculous $7.5k markup on a new Santa Cruz, but he did go from $22k on my trade-in to literally willing to write a check for $29k for the trade-in without even buying the Santa Cruz! If anything, please take that fact into consideration. Because you will need to play games at this dealership. Beyond that, I don't see any reason not to come here. Just be prepared to play games.
