I would caution ANYONE from purchasing anything ESPECIALLY an extended warranty from this dealership. I purchased a 2021 XT6 brand new from North Bay. When sitting with the finance manager, I spe ESPECIALLY an extended warranty from this dealership. I purchased a 2021 XT6 brand new from North Bay. When sitting with the finance manager, I specifically asked for an extended genuine Cadillac Warranty. I explained that I do not live near the dealership and wanted a manufacturers warranty so that the repairs would be between the dealership and manufacturer. Instead was sold for $2,400.00 a warranty called the "Cadillac Wrap"by smart autocare. The car is having a transmission issue and the warranty specifically excludes "any components which are covered under the original manufacturer's powertrain warranty" In other words, ZERO coverage for powertrain for $2,400.00. My fault for not looking closely at the document they offered me despite my asking for a GENUINE GM warranty. I'm sure the dealership made plenty of money on the warranty and I am out a transmission replacement. That is bad business as far as I am concerned. I have called the dealership quite a few times seeking a remedy. They refuse to let me speak to anyone that is a decision maker. Instead they take a long time to call back and I often need to call them. I am without a car for 8 days so far. TO be fair, I would say that my sales Rep John T. is very good and the purchasing of the car was very easy. Just this one HUGE detail has left me out in the cold having spent $2,400.00 on a warranty that does not cover the powertrain, you know, the parts that make the car actually go. More
