I have purchased two cars from this dealership, and over the last several years, have been getting my oil changes and occasional service done here. On 1/25/19, I came in as I always do for service and to have a noise checked out. After driving 45 minutes and checking in for my 11:40 appointment, I waited just shy of TWO HOURS for an oil change and a diagnostic report on my brakes, which is exactly what I booked my appointment for. I was then told for the first time in many years, that if I did not spend almost $700 on rear brakes that my service contract for free oil changes for the life of the car, which was a negotiating tactic when I purchased the car, would be cancelled. DON'T BELIEVE THE HYPE! The service contract is useless if they are going to overcharge and underdeliver with service, yet make you do everything there. After explaining that I had always been told the stipulation to keeping the service contract active was that factory recommended maintenance be completed there, not ALL maintenance, I was treated as if my business didn't at all matter. I was even encouraged to take my gripe elsewhere to go speak with the Sales Manger. I went over to the sales side of the dealership and the Sales Manager wasn't there, so I went back to service and asked them to just give me my car back. The Manager of the service department, Agee, backtracked and tried to explain the service in greater detail, but he had already told me that they were growing so big, they were buying a Mitsubishi franchise, and they have over 1,000,000 customers....basically saying, we don't even need your business, so although he thought he was trying to smooth things over, it made me feel even more like my loyalty was of zero importance to him. He also said he was going to "see what he could do" with the pricing and he would give me a call....never got a phone call, and I wasn't at all surprised. Needless to say, I didn't get the recommended repairs as I knew the price tag was WAY too high for what they were saying I needed done. I took my car to another mechanic that is 3 minutes from my house and he is going to fix the EXACT same things using quality products, and it will cost me over $200 less than quoted at North End. Also, the synthetic oil changes are only $50, so I really don't care about losing the service contract. It's not worth the hassle, the wait time, or the disregard for my loyal patronage to worry about free oil changes. My savings on this repair alone will get me through two years of oil changes at the new place. Overall, because of my experience, they not only lost a dedicated customer, but I hope with this post, others will realize what terrible customer service this place now provides. Thanks, North End Motors, for encouraging me to find a much more convenient service station, and I will look forward to establishing a relationship with a new dealership once it's time for an upgrade in the coming months.
