Pressure to buy!! First mistake, going in to look at a used Tuguan, by myself (female). Apparently, I was unfortunate enough to get, what I later found out to be "The First mistake, going in to look at a used Tuguan, by myself (female). Apparently, I was unfortunate enough to get, what I later found out to be "The Bulldog". After waiting several hours, just to get the paperwork together, I was ready to sign anything just to get out of there. (I am sure that was part of the ploy). Finally, they came out and pushed these papers in front of me. "Pick out your payment plan!". Wait a minute, this is the first car I have looked at!, (This is what I should have said.). The trade in amount was less than I wanted, or expected. Anyway, the papers were signed, and the car was brought out, ready for me to take home. As I went to get in the car, which was now sitting in the sun, I saw several two foot long scratches on the hood, roof, and door, not noticed before, or told about!! The salesman came out and told me they would take care of the scratches. I had to return the car a few days later, and was given a loaner. Initially, I was told, the car was to be painted. When they returned the car, I was appalled!! They had done the worst buffing job I had ever seen!! You could see every circular buff mark. I took the car back. I was asked by a group of managers, "How's the new car?" I was so upset at this point, I couldn't say a word, and started to cry. They all just sat there looking at me! Not one got up to see if they could help! Finally, a female manager came in, and, tried to calm me down. She looked at the car, and, agreed, it was a terrible buff job. Again, I ended up in a loaner! Needless to say, I would avoid this dealership at all cost!! I since have talked to another neighbor, that also had a bad experience at that dealership, buying a brand new vehicle. I should have called VW of America, or the headquarters, but, I never did. Live and learn!! More
