This is my first leasing experience. Learn as much as possible about leasing a vehicle before going to Northstar or any dealer. I did not do that. Never answer the question of how much you can pay monthly for a leased car because they now know how to manage the leasing terms to hit that monthly number. When dealing with Sales, get any initial down payment, monthly payments and the Gross Capitalized Cost" (GCC) amounts of the vehicle in writing. You want the GCC to be as low as possible because this is essentially the sale price of the vehicle (with some additional fees). Your monthly payments will be calculated from the GCC so negotiate the GCC price as if you are buying the car. Bring those details with you to their leasing department and make sure they are the same amounts listed on the lease when you sign. Don't sign any lease electronically until they show you a printed copy of the lease and everything agrees with the terms from Sales. I went in without knowing how to lease a car. I educated myself after and discovered how the terms on my lease were not the same terms I had agreed to with Sales. Sales never even discussed my GCC value for the car and entered whatever they needed, to hit my monthly payment request. I did try to contact the Leasing and Sales departments afterwards but never received a response. I liked the vehicle I leased but the Sales to Lease experience for me was terrible. More
