Sales and representatives were great, but full service wasn’t up to standard. Trash from old parts and plastic bags from new parts were left in my car when my car was returned to me. On my last visit to get my rear brake fixed, i also requested to have my engine splash guard to be secured because it appears to be hanging low. The brakes were fixed properly. I recently had the unfortunate experience of dealing with Northstar Kia, and I must say, it was far from the straightforward and enjoyable experience I had hoped for. Despite the positive ratings, my encounter with this dealership left me greatly dissatisfied. One of the main issues I encountered was their exorbitant markup on the Telluride model. I was shocked when they insisted on an additional $8,000 markup. This blatant attempt to exploit the market demand left a sour taste in my mouth right from the start. Furthermore, the lack of transparency throughout the negotiation process was deeply frustrating. After agreeing on a price, I expected it to be verbally repeated and clarified before proceeding. However, the dealership conveniently avoided and shifted my attention never reiterating the agreed-upon price until I was presented with the final paperwork. This tactic felt deceptive and manipulative. When I questioned the numbers and sought clarification, instead of providing honest answers, the dealership resorted to shuffling numbers around and attempting to confuse me with convoluted explanations. This only served to further erode my trust in their integrity and commitment to providing a fair and transparent transaction. In hindsight, I regret not trusting my instincts and walking away from this dealership. The lack of honesty and integrity displayed by Northstar Kia was disheartening, to say the least. As a consumer, I believe it is crucial to be able to trust the businesses we engage with, especially when making significant financial decisions. Based on my experience, I cannot in good conscience recommend Northstar Kia to others. I hope that my review serves as a cautionary tale for prospective customers who may be considering this dealership.
