Let me say this...this business, and especially the two gentlemen that serviced us are a shining beacon of light in an endless field of very shady characters from a very murky industry. They were both extremely kind, respectful, thoughtful, and most importantly, HONEST!!! They put the fairest numbers on the table that they had to offer and made it happen. We'd been to 3 other Kia dealers and we saw through all of their tricks and games. Not one ounce of that energy appeared even for a brief glimpse at Nutley Kia. They are no nonsense, straight business. I could not be happier with the car or the service. I would give them 10 stars if I could. These folks are top-flight professional, and this is as good as it gets in car sales!!! Shop here if you don't want to get ripped off, period.

I could write a lengthy review concerning my experience at Karp Automotive Service, but I think short and sweet serves us all best. Do not use them for service. I brought my car in for a simple oil change and inspection, and they turned the request into a $1,600 bill by claiming I voided the warranty and I needed a new oil pan. When I informed the service manager that as a 20 year loyal customer, I am disgusted by their behavior and I would be giving them a bad review, she told me to take my car and leave. She also said that Karp will no longer be servicing my vehicles. She told me my car had been rendered undrivable by them, and I needed to call a tow truck. I did and brought it to an honest mechanic who serviced the vehicle for $157 not $1600. I guess they think it’s easy to scam an elderly woman out of $1,600 but the charges were so inflated that they had to be questioned. Short and sweet…don’t use Karp Automotive to service your vehicles and if they can’t service them why would you buy from them to begin with?

Dealer a joke, I had to pay both the same month for my old lease and the new one because it fell on the day after payment, even though I'm a repeat customer. Payment huge for a 2024 Kia Seltos. Car is like cracker jack box car, constant issues since I got it and the service center is awful. You can wait weeks for minor issues and they offer an uber home. What good is that if you work. I'm so dissatisfied with them and this car!

After my first car broke down for the 50th time, I was desperate to get myself something new. I always thought kias were cute cars so i visited this dealership to see my options. I’m 22 years old with a receptionist job and didnt expect to have enough money to get something right away. Kelly and Yasser were the two people who worked closely with me to discuss what I’m looking for and what my options are especially having no credit. Within a week I get my dream car at a affordable price! Not only that but they are even helping me build my credit! Getting all the paperwork done takes some time but with the friendly staff I didn’t mind hanging out. Everyone had an amazing energy, funny and sweet yet always professional. I couldn’t have asked for a better experience leasing my first car and am forever grateful for Kelly and Yasser for making it happen at a price that’s personally affordable for me.

Buyer beware. I looked at over 20 vehicles — Toyota Highlanders and Kia Tellurides — listed by Plaza Auto Mall this week. Every single one came in roughly $6,000 higher than advertised once you factored in the actual fees. This wasn't an occasional discrepancy — it was consistent across the board. And it's not just the fees — the base prices themselves are inflated for what these cars actually are. You can find the same vehicles elsewhere for significantly less before any negotiation even starts. Just because a price appears on TrueCar or their website doesn't mean that's what you'll pay. The real number only comes out later in the process, and by then they're already asking when you can come in. Also worth noting: don't expect a response over the weekend. Replies seem to come on Mondays — conveniently after the weekend sales rush is over. New York State should do more to hold licensed dealerships accountable for advertised pricing. Until then, always get a full out-the-door price in writing before you visit.

If you value your vehicle's engine, take it somewhere else. During a service visit at Kia of Englewood, their technician failed to reinstall the engine oil dipstick. They handed our car back to us with the engine tube completely open and exposed to dirt and debris, a basic failure in quality control that could easily cause catastrophic engine damage. I had to personally secure the engine and purchase the replacement parts out of pocket to fix their mistake. Worse than the mechanic's negligence is the management's total lack of accountability. I reached out directly to both the Service Manager and the General Manager offering a simple opportunity to make this right, and my emails were completely ignored. Mistakes happen, but a dealership that makes dangerous rookie mistakes and then hides from its customers is not a business you should trust with your vehicle.

Run, don’t walk- in the opposite direction. Spent a couple days contacting every dealer in the tristate looking for my new vehicle. This John Starks dealer had the one I was looking for and wanted to make the deal. I told him some offers I had heard at the local places by me and the sales guy Colin had to speak to his manager. He texted me that he got the deal done. To make the price where I was comfortable, the interest needed to be 6%. I put a deposit down and filled out the credit application. They ran my credit, confirmed it was excellent then ghosted me for a day. After reaching back out to them they told me the lowest rate is 8%. This significantly increases the monthly payment. The sales guy Colin and his GM knew this at the time but said what they could to keep me happy and keep me from going to another dealer. The GM just called me to say there was no way 6% was ever going to happen. They hit my credit for no reason at all. It takes 2 years to fall off your report. This dealer is the exact reason why all car salesmen have the reputation they do. I’m sure the manager or someone will reply to this review and make up some story about how I am at fault, but I urge you to look elsewhere.
