Northstar Kia’s boilerplate and evasive reply avoids every substantive fact I documented. On July 16, 2025, Service Advisor Manny Dorante denied warranty coverage for my defective driver’s seat, demanded out-of-pocket payment, and told me the car would “just sit here” unless I agreed to pay. That same day I filed a complaint with Kia Customer Care (Case #25383990) and notified both Service Manager Edwin Gil and Mr. Dorante in writing. Within 48 hours of being notified of that complaint, on July 18, Northstar reversed course, authorized the warranty repair, and simultaneously blacklisted my family from all future service. On July 22, in a call I lawfully recorded under New York’s one-party consent law, Mr. Dorante confirmed the blacklisting as a coordinated management decision with Mr. Gil. When asked for a reason, he replied: “We don’t have to give you a valid reason” and “We just don’t wanna do business with you anymore. Plain and simple. It’s a business.” These events are documented in my complaints with the New York Attorney General and the New York DMV. A boilerplate “sorry to hear” is not accountability — it is EVASION.
