January 2024 I purchased a used car but was unable to pick up the contract etc at the said time due to issues that were not mine. I went to have service done on the car recently at the Kia service center pick up the contract etc at the said time due to issues that were not mine. I went to have service done on the car recently at the Kia service center and was told that there is no record of me in the system. I called the salesperson and finance manager but found out they both left the company since. I was under the impression that my paperwork would be sent to me. Finally figured out that I have full train warranty and LoJack was not installed in the car even though they said it was. However no one can account for my maintenance warranty ( oil change brakes etc). More

If you like to “vote with your dollars” to promote ethical, friendly, professional businesses, do not spend your money at NorthStar Kia. Those guys will take any and every opportunity to take advantag ethical, friendly, professional businesses, do not spend your money at NorthStar Kia. Those guys will take any and every opportunity to take advantage of you. I was there with my 6– month pregnant wife and my 4-year-old son. A deal was made relatively quickly with the Sales Manager except that it was not the deal I waked out with. As a part of the deal, I agreed to temporarily finance the purchase and pay off my loan after making a couple of monthly payments. So far so good. Then, unfortunately, I was sent to the Finance Manager’s office to finalize the financing paperwork. I thought it was just a formality, and I was so wrong. The Finance Manager was cunningly changing the deal’s terms, by including a $5K warranty into the financed amount. This is a typical back-end selling, which I’m not sure is quite legal. I have to admit -- I wasn’t paying sufficient attention to the process because, first -- we were all so tired - my 6-months pregnant wife and distracting me my 4-year-old-son. For some reason after the initial deal had been made, we had to wait for something for several hours before Finance Manger was ready for us. Second, I really thought the deal had already been done and the Finance Manager had no authority to make any additional selling/changes to the already agreed upon price. He started off by showing my monthly payments - one from Kia Finance including the warranty cost and one form another bank, with no warranty but much higher. Obviously, I chose the lower forgetting that the warranty cost included would be extra to me. At some point, I said Kia is known to offer a good 5-year free warranty, so why would I even want an additional warranty. However, the Finance Manager pointed out some items that are supposedly not covered by the Kia original warranty making it sound like the Kia original warranty was not of a great quality. Unfortunately, I had no reading glasses, so I could not concentrate on the final contract paperwork. When I tried to concentrate on it, I was approached by a salesperson who quite rudely stuck a form under my nose asking to fill it out. That exact form I had already filled out before, but at that point I did not realize that it was a trick to distract me from reading the contract paperwork. Long story short, the Finance Manager used all the old tricks to push the extra warranty making me think the warranty cost was not really anything that would affect my final bottom line. After I got home that evening, I was finally able to see that I was CHARGED $5K EXTRA for an UNWANTED WARRANTY. I called the dealership right away, but they told me I could only cancel the warranty for a full refund. Four months later and I still have no refund, and getting very rude responses from the Finance Manager KIA Company’s management should make sure the company’s recent push to elevate their brand would also focus on the QUALITY of THEIR DEALERS. Kia NorthStar’s people only look for short term gains DESTROYING THE KIA BRAND in the process. I had been buying Hondas before my recent switch to Kia and I was possibly spoiled by the professional way I was treated by Honda dealerships and let my guard down at Kia NorthStar. More

After speaking to the salesman and putting down a deposit on the car booking an appointment for 3:30pm Friday the car didn't get to the dealership for almost 2hrs. Then the paper took another 2hr 50min to co on the car booking an appointment for 3:30pm Friday the car didn't get to the dealership for almost 2hrs.
