I brought my car in on 26 January for an inspection. I had moved by appointment from a drop off to awaiting appointment because I had a doctors appointment one hour and 30 minutes after my Inspection ap I had moved by appointment from a drop off to awaiting appointment because I had a doctors appointment one hour and 30 minutes after my Inspection appointment. I was assured when I had changed the appointment that they would be able to accommodate my need. Within 45 minutes I had got a message saying my car had been finished and I would be talking with the service manager to get my car. After another 15 minutes, I went to the manager and said hey where’s my car? It was then that I was informed that their inspection machine was down and they had to go to Mazda right next-door to print out my inspection sticker. Because I needed to get to the doctors appointment I said please just give me my car and I will bring it back after the appointment so you can do the sticker. That however, was not possible I was told because they would have to do the inspection all over again. It was at this point that I had to ask that they transport me to the doctors office as it was too late for me to cancel this appointment. Andy said well he would get an Uber for me but then spotted a gentleman in the bay that would take me to my doctors appointment. I must admit I was surprised that I actually had to ask to be transported. I do not consider what I received to be excellent customer service. Especially when I had seen other managers interacting with their customers in an upbeat, attentive, professional manner. The other manager seemed generally glad to be there. I did get my car inspected, but I would say the treatment I received was just fair. I do not know whether I would be going back. I may return West Herr dealership for further service even though it is half an hour out of my way. More
