Wanting to comparison shop and knowing what we wanted, we went to several dealers across NJ with the same vehicle parameters. Nutley Kia stood out in terms of their sales efforts and customer service in selling the vehicle. Other dealers in our search only paid lip service to such a notion. Our sales guy was James, who listened to us and worked on getting us what we wanted, when, and how. He even offered to give us a lift home after we returned the insurance rental earlier in the day and were without an easy way home. Jennifer’s email ads were what originally brought us to that dealership. Even Christian, the sales manager, spent time with us, in listening and getting us what we wanted. He is a highly proficient and effective sales manager and heads a strong sales team that knows customer service. Our only issue dealt with the temp registration they issued, which expired before we got the permanent one. But that can be explained by the fact that our registration was out-of-state. More

Robert was great to deal with durin purchase but after was poor. Still after 3 weeks I have to plates and my temp has expired. Ed was very pushy and poor customer service when calling back in. I had no plans to get a new car yesterday when I visited Nutley Kia. I had already been to Toyota, Honda, and several other dealerships, just to look at what was out there and see if there was any car I wo Nutley Kia. I had already been to Toyota, Honda, and several other dealerships, just to look at what was out there and see if there was any car I would be willing to get to replace my old Jaguar, which I loved. I hadn't liked the service anywhere, or any of the cars. Then yesterday I saw a Kia commercial, and was intrigued. First I called Nutley Kia and got Jennifer Biennas on the phone. She was so real, welcoming, witty, and knowledgeable about the cars that I suddenly decided to just go there. When I arrived, Jennifer introduced me to Chuck Smith, who worked with me ALL DAY and into the night. I was there for seven hours. No kidding. I'm not an easy customer. I went on six test drives, and at the end of the day, when it looked like we had a deal, my husband arrived and I ended up changing my mind and starting the process all over with a different car. What was nice was that there were so many cars to choose from that I really liked, and which were all so comfortable to drive. What was also nice is that Chuck didn't even bat an eye when I told him we had to start over with another car. While we were waiting for the paperwork I left last night with a really great car, a Kia Optima, and a feeling that I would recommend Nutley Kia, and the employees there, to anyone I know who is looking for a new car. this guys are great,even knowing that Rick's son was in the hospital all night due to emergency surgery, he never left and made sure we had all the paperwork done, and that our brand new car was waiting in the hospital all night due to emergency surgery, he never left and made sure we had all the paperwork done, and that our brand new car was waiting outside ready to take home with us, he went through everything again making sure we understood all the fixtures of the car, etc. Everyone was very polite and we recommend everyone who wants to buy a car to come here to Kia in Nutley and see Rick, he is the best...great guy, honest, sincere, and a good person..you wont be sorry. Had an extremely bad experience with this dealership. After a few hours of unsuccessful negotiation I had to go to work at 8:00pm. The salesman offered an interesting deal on another car near closing. I told him I had to go to work and asked to lock the monthly lease payment on a contract so we can negotiate the next morning. He also informed me that I would have to leave a deposit of $500 which he verbally agreed 3 times that my deposit is refundable. I asked him that this is not a contract signing to purchase the vehicle, but to lock the monthly payment because he said that day was the last day to take advantage of the incentives. Let me add that no lease form indicating any numbers was given to me. Also I did not give him any personal information for a credit check. I came in the next morning to find out the car was sold to me without giving me any financial information about the car. I was surprised and thrown back by this because I specifically told the salesman I was not purchasing the vehicle. I asked to give me the lease form to display the cost of the car with the residual value and other financial information. He told me he could not give me that information till after making a deal. I asked him who in their right mind will purchase/lease a vehicle without knowing any financial information. I asked to see the finance manager and he also would not cooperate and give me any financial information of the car. After their unprofessional actions, I asked for my $500 deposit and they would not honor our agreement. I spoke to the owner and he would not listen to my explanation and belittled me. I was misrepresented and conned out of my deposit which they are holding illegally. I did a lot of research regarding deposits on how dealers con consumers daily. Please be aware of this practice and research online how to protect yourself against great talking salesman. If you are duped like I was, there are numerous government assistance: Attorney General, Consumer Affairs, Better Business Bureau, Small Claims Court, social media, and the local news. I have contacted all of these departments and are all assisting to me to get my deposit back. I hope my posting will help a few people. Thank you. More
