The people who work at this dealership are amazingly kind. It's in their DNA. We were driving on the interstate last Saturday pulling our camper, when the service light came on and the truck started act kind. It's in their DNA. We were driving on the interstate last Saturday pulling our camper, when the service light came on and the truck started acting weird. We were thrilled to find that your dealership was not far away and called ahead to describe our plight. The service department told us to come in but warned that none of the mechanics on duty would likely have the training to address our problem. We received nothing but excellent service and kindness from the staff. Here are a few highlights: ***Although I am not really sure if he was technically "on duty" that day, Robert Marshall ran the diagnostics and attempted a preliminary repair. It didn't work; the cylinder blown. ***Since we had no transportation, Kia Collins graciously drove us and our dog to a hotel. ***Jeff Coleman worked tirelessly all week to try and find us a replacement engine., patiencently enduring my husband's frequent "pop-ins" to check up on Jeff's progress. ***When he found out that our small rental car did not allow us to take our bicycles to the campground, Robert Marshall had them delivered to our campsite. By mid afternoon Tuesday, we realized that we would likely need to buy a new truck. We had just heard from the campground that we would be unable to extend our stay as they were booked-up. We needed to move our camper by late morning Thursday. We did not want to pay to have the camper towed yet again. Lucky for us, we were not only working with a dealership that had a great service department but one that also had the largest inventory of vehicles on the east coast and an accommodating sales staff as well! We headed to the used vehicle lot where we met Sam, Russ, Joe Ferezy, Chris Robert, and Ben Jamison. Again, a few highlights: ***We called ahead before coming to the dealership and spoke to Sam. When we got there, he and Russ were ready for us. ***Russ did an excellent job of finding vehicles that fit our specifications and it was a pleasure working with him. When we told him we needed this vehicle by Thursday morning at the latest, he made sure that Joe would be able to help us on Wednesday, Russ' day off. ***As my husband's Google searches proved, Joe quoted us a very fair purchase price as well as a fair trade. This dealership was not taking advantage of our difficult situation! ***Chris and Joe worked so efficiently that we were able to begin our truck search and drive off the lot with a newly purchased vehicle in LESS THAN 24 HOURS!!! Who does that? That Chris is quite a "numbers guy", which works well for my husband as he is one too. ***Joe moved the heavy, heavy tool box from the back of our old truck to the new by himself (OMG)! ***At our request and during a busytime for the dealership, Joe had a mechanic test drive the truck to check on a possible shutter. ***The trailer hitch on the new truck was too high for our camper. Robert to the rescue again! He fixed it asap! *** And finally Ben Jamison. What a knowledgeable guy! He patiently oriented my husband to all the bells and whistles on this new vehicle. Keep in mind that our old truck was a 2002. There was a lot to learn! I apologize for anyone whom I may have omitted in this review. It was a very difficult week for my husband and myself. We had many set backs. It was so very nice to have the O.C. Welch team take this journey with us. We can never than you enough. More
