O'Donnell Honda

On June 8, 2011, I called a number of dealerships looking to test drive a base model manual transmission Honda Fit. Due to recent diasters in Japan, finding one of these cars was problematic. However, Brown's Honda in Glen Burnie, Maryland told me they had one and to come by for a test drive. I took off work and met the salesman. I got in the car and noted how nice it was for a base model. The car was not a base model, but the $1600.00 pricier Sport version of the Fit. I had a VERY BAD experince at Brown's Honda. The salesman lied to me to get me to come down for a test drive, and then lied some more to me about how he knew there was a base model fit "out there" and that he would find it for me. I left feeling uneasy. Later on in the week, I called the dealership to complian about how I was treated. They stood by their salesman and acted surprised that anyone could find fault in this man. On June 9th, I made some more calls looking for the car I wanted and I spoke with Terry Askin at O'Donnell Honda. He seemed pretty straight forward, and most importantly, believeable. He had a base model Manual transmission Honda Fit. I took off work on June 10, went to O'Donnell, test drove and bought the Fit. There was no haggling, no stories, no lies. I would buy from Mr. Askin again, and I would tell others to frequent this dealership as well. The difference between dealing with the two dealerships was remarkable. More

This is my 2nd Honda car from the dealer. This time, it took me about an hour from test drive to an agreement on the price. The staff very nice, especially the manager. I felt that I can trust them. On our first visit we only test drove a few cars (Honda Civic and Insight). The salesperson was very friendly and knowledgeable but didn't put any pressure on us. We came back two days later for another test drive and decided to buy a 2012 Civic. The whole buying process was professional and smooth and the salesperson even offered to take the registration of our trade-in to the MVA. Overall we were very pleased. More

We called around to Honda dealers in the area to test drive a Honda Odyssey Touring to see if my wife would like the car. We felt NO pressure to buy the car at all. Jerry simply allowed us to ask him questions and he told us about the vehicle. I was actually the one who initiated the possibility of buying one in the color my wife wanted. The one we drove was white and my wife didn't want that color. Jerry said for a trivial $100 deposit he would call around to see if he could find one in the area. On Thursday afternoon he called and said he had located one several hundred miles away. We said we'd be interested in the car and we came to agreement quickly on a price with the options we wanted added. On Saturday morning we went in and purchased the car and they offered us a very fair trade in value for our Toyota 4runner. The financing offered was outstanding and we are extremely happy with the whole experience. We will definitely be doing more business at O'Donnell Honda! More

The sales staff at O'Donnell Honda is helpful and courteous. A sales rep was quick to approach me in the car lot and asked me how he could assist me without being overly aggressive. To make the deal better than another dealership, they are willing provided future services for discount which I am happy with, as well. Overall, good experience and better than another Honda dealership that was not as accommodating O'Donnell. More

It was time to replace our 1999 Honda Odyssey (210,000 miles). After years driving the Odyssey - for many miles in numerous carpools and regularly servicing the car at O'Donnell - we were absolutely cert miles). We weren't quite sure whether we wanted a used or new car. After speaking with the gentleman in used cars and Cheri we decided on a new car. Both were very helpful in weighing the pros and cons of used and new cars for our situation. They genuinally seemed to want us to get what was best for us! Once we decided on a new car, Cheri was extremely helpful, thorough and efficient as hse guided us through the process. After the sale, she took the time to track down and send me a personal item I had left in the car. i also apprecited her follow-up phone call to see if we had any questions or conerns. Great service! Overall, I was very happy with the experience of buying a new car on 4/30/11. The salesman was interested in explaining all the important details, and was patient with the various questions I asked. Sean was helpful, courteous, and well-versed in the various car models. He allowed me to test drive several car types.
