My husband and I stopped in on a friday, the one before the President's Day holiday I believe. We had our son with us and were only wanting to check some things out pretty quickly due to needing to get lunch and our little one home for a nap. We looked at a few Ford Escapes (2012) knowing we wanted a 4 cylinder front wheel drive with dark interior. The sales person (his first name was Josh and his name tag had two spellings of this name and I do not remember his last name) showed us a couple cars all with the light interior. He then went and got a different manager in an attempt to talk a few numbers with my husband but no one was willing to throw out a number without seeing my trade in first. We did not have time. My husband offered to leave his name and number (do not know if he ended up doing this but I don't think he did) and have Josh call with some numbers. Again neither Josh or the other manager seemed interested in talking more without us spending more time right then and there. We decided to leave and Josh pulled us aside and said that he had checked and that what we wanted was not even available in the dark interior. We walked out and I told my husband I was bummed about that and my husband said, "that guy is lying to make a sale." Within an hour of getting home my husband found what we wanted online at Sill TerHar. Bummer thing is that I purchased my last vehicle at O'meara (as did my husband) and at this point we will likely never go there again. Thanks for taking time to read my concerns.

Julie, I apologize on behalf of the sales person Josh. I will discuss with him the equipment that is available on the 2012 Escapes. Were you looking at the XLS model by the way, if so that model is only available with the lighter color interior. In fact the F-150, Explorer, Edge, FIesta, Focus and Fusion are only available with the light stone interior in the 'base' trim levels. If you were looking at an XLT Escape then there are more interior color options. I hope that this was explained to you when you were here because absolutely you can get an Escape with a dark interior as long as it is an XLT trim or higher. Again I apologize for my sales person and his supervisor I will discuss this with them so that they make sure to communicate clearly with everyone what our vehicles can and cannot be equipped with. Thank you for giving us the opportunity to improve. I am sorry we lost your business to a rival dealership. Since I cannot truley resolve the issue you have the best I can do is let you know the problem will be addressed and invite you to try us again the next time you are in the market for a new or pre-owned vehicle.
