I was on time for a 10:00 am appointment and was checking out around 12:00 pm noon (or thereabouts). This is my first time at this Westmont dealership. I finally was given some information on the status of my battery literally just before 11:28 am but only after I texted my service person to inquire about a status. I certainly did not expect to stay there that long to have my battery replaced. I guess, all in all, it would have been nice to be told up front how long a wait for this would possibly be as I scheduled it as a "waiting" customer. I also did not expect to find out that if I paid via a credit card that I would be responsible for an additional percent charge because I chose to pay this way. So, be prepared to either pay by cash, check, or debit card if you don't want an additional fee added on to your total. Mark was a pleasant Service Member and I appreciate that they honored the price I was given via the phone the previous day when I called to inquire before making my appointment. More
This dealer does not state on their web site that they charge an extra 3.5% if you use a credit card. I was surprised to see a little sign stating this when I walked in. Totally unfair. The service advisor,Brian,was very helpful in explaining what was going on with my car and in arranging a ride home on the shuttle service. I purchased my vehicle here last year, and the first scheduled maintenance was due which I thought was an oil change but was actually a tire rotation. When I purchased my vehicle the salesperson told me scheduled maintenance was due which I thought was an oil change but was actually a tire rotation. When I purchased my vehicle the salesperson told me I could always take advantage of a free car wash whenever I had my vehicle serviced, which I decided to take advantage of this past Saturday, since I would be waiting at the dealership for my vehicle anyway. The service rep told me he'd take care of the car wash and that the total wait time would be about 2 hours since it was busy, which is understandable considering it is a Saturday. The rep texted me exactly 2 hours later stating the tire rotation was completed and that a tech would be taking it for a wash. Half hours later I see my vehicle come around the corner and park. After waiting another half hour i decide to look for my service rep which was no where to be found, and who never replied to my text in regard to an update. Another rep assisted stating the reason for hold up was that the computer system was being updated, which I'm assuming was the dealership computers. He hands me the receipt and reiterates why there was such a long hold up. I was told a 27 point courtesy inspection would be completed and the receipt stated such , however no supporting paperwork showing the inspection and inspection findings were given to me. In addition, the courtesy car wash left a lot to be desired. My vehicle looked like they only hosed it down with a water hose, was completely filthy and was dripping wet, and the interior wasn't touched. I've experienced courtesy washes at other dealerships, and the quality of this one was embarrassing. This was a completely disappointing and horrible experience. I will be taking my vehicle to another Toyota dealership for maintenance moving forward. More
