First New Car My car died early in 2019. The engine threw a rod and was not worth fixing. I didn't really know what I wanted to get to replace it, IE make, model, My car died early in 2019. I hated the places that would ask "What do I have to do to have you drive away today?" Buying a car is a huge investment and I wasn't going to just buy one without doing some research and test driving. At the Toyota dealership Phil was a great help. There was no pressure to buy anything. He asked what I was looking for, what options were must haves, and then showed me a bunch of different cars. He explained that one would have better gas mileage, another had slightly more trunk space, this one is a bit cheaper, this one would be good if you're planning on kids, etc. but it was never just buy something. Another thing that was nice was he offered to pick me up and drop me off to look at more cars on the lot and again to test drive cars (since my last car was completely dead). It may seem minor to some, but I felt that he went above beyond the normal responsibilities one expects at a dealership. Overall great experience and I ended up buying a 2019 Camry. It was such an easy experience here and no pressure at all. Stop in and ask for Phil, he'll take care of you! More

Recommending Oakbrook Toyota is an easy one for me, and it may sound cheesy but I've been going to the dealership for 6~7 years now and have purchased Recommending Oakbrook Toyota is an easy one for me, and it may sound cheesy but I've been going to the dealership for 6~7 years now and have purchased our last 4 vehicles from them in that time. For context I go there for purchasing, but I also do all my maintenance there too... they know the vehicle best. Phil Brackmann is who I work with the most - he's awesome. I've come to know Phil fairly well and I'm always confident he'll 'give it to me straight' regarding what things I may and may not like about a vehicle, and I feel we always have arrived at what I feel is a fair deal for both he and I when it comes to cost. Did I mention that every time I'm, in the service department Phil will say hello and often come sit for a bit and we just chat about anything from cars to not-cars. The general manager is Alex Syed and he also is just 'good people'... when I recently had to sell my car back to the dealership since it wasn't needed, he showed me on his computer the value of my car, and he went above that, despite some damage, since he wanted to help and knows I've been there for years. Alex also, no matter how long it's been, will see me in the service department for routine maintenance and always shouts out a friendly "Hello Dustin!" How he and Phil remember names so well is beyond me. Anyhow this was longer than expected but all real. If you're shopping for a car and just want to deal with good honest people, you really ought to talk to Phil and Alex. Even if only to say hello and see if they can help you find what's best for your needs. I do want to make sure you know I'm not some Pollyanna that just glows about Oakbrook Toyota. No place anywhere is going to be 100% on top of things every time. I did have one 'off' experience with a service person where I'd say it was a missed expectation, and I talked to Alex (General Manager) about it. They certainly helped accommodate what I needed, and we worked out the issue together so that it wasnt me complaining, but me wanting to help the service person too. They handled it very well, imo. They put people first and take both compliments and this one complaint seriously. More
