We bought a 2020 brand new Kia Niro with 45 miles on it, 8 days after we decided to go on a trip to snowboard in Colorado, the car started having shifting problems in Hays (thinking this could be transmissi 8 days after we decided to go on a trip to snowboard in Colorado, the car started having shifting problems in Hays (thinking this could be transmission), this happened at 12:00 AM so we had to get a hotel for the night $200, the closest Kia dealership is 100 miles from us, Kia refused to ship it back to Oakes Kia where it was purchased unless we wanted to spend $900 out of our own pocket, there are no rental cars in Hays currently available. To get an UBER ride to the closest dealership which is in Dodge City KS it would cost $348. We called Oakes Kia and spoke with a Manager named Jesse and explained the situation to him who showed zero concern about the amount of money this has cost us, showed zero interest in helping us find a solution and said once the contract is signed the deal is done and gave us a 1-800 number to Kia. We will never buy a Kia again and will highly encourage everyone we know from buying a Kia as well. We are also missing out on $600 spend on lift tickets, total because of our 8 day old car breaking down on us we have already spend/lost $1,148.00 (this doesn't include lodging in Colorado). HIGHLY encourage you do avoid this dealership and KIA at all costs. I never write reviews but this is just mind blowing to me that KIA is taking zero responsibility. They want you to buy a $30,000 car and then provide no help or resolution when it breaks down 8 days later leaving you and your family stranded in a small down in KS. More
When I arrived I was greeted and shown to the waiting room. I was there for a 7500-mile check-up and oil change on my Kia Telluride. The waiting area was clean with vending machines available. Once my car was ready, a tech came for me and explained in detail what was completed on my car, reminding me of my warranty coverage and that there was no charge. Additionally, I asked if my next appointment for my Kia Sorento could have a state inspection added. The service tech immediately jumped to it and added that on for the next day's work. I was very appreciative. More
