It had no working AC and power train cooling system. When I asked if they could take the car back 3 weeks after purchase they said I bought it i own it no returns. I asked if they could take it back and sell me a new car without offering a low trade-in value. They said the car is obviously not worth much. I took the car to be repaired March 13 and it was probably repaired May 1st. As soon as it was possibly fixed I drove it directly to buy a Chevrolet. More
Oakes Kia KC cleared check engine light for miss fires in banks 1,2,3 before the vehicle was sold to us according to Oakes Kia Olathe inspection. After 5k miles and 3 months of driving the vehicle had absolu banks 1,2,3 before the vehicle was sold to us according to Oakes Kia Olathe inspection. After 5k miles and 3 months of driving the vehicle had absolutely no oil on the dip stick, bad fuel injectors and spark plugs. The same service advisor said “the only way the vehicle would end up in this shape this fast would be poor previous maintenance and ownership, this isn’t something that happens in 5k miles “. Unfortunately, the vehicle was routinely serviced at Oakes Kia in kc and was put through a 135/85 point inspection (received conflicting statements from carfax, sales, sales manager, and the gsm). I asked for the report of said inspection a week ago and was told to give them just a moment. The inspection I’ve received is nothing more than stating the work they did don’t the vehicle (oil change, wipes, tire rotation) not the inspection that determines if something is worthy of certification. It took me till Monday the following week to receive that document. So I called and asked for the GM and was directed to Meaghan the GSM. I told her Gahzi was sure to tell me they “don’t keep those inspections on file and would never be required to by the state and I could just scratch trying to get their help as this point”… Meaghan was sure to tell me “that’s a lie, not sure why he told you that, and sorry he kept over promising and under delivering”. She was sure to make me feel like she would get something done for me the first 5 minutes. However 3 days later and she still “can’t” send over said inspection highlighting the either 165 or 82 point inspection after ensuring me it’s right here and I’ll just email it over. Now the doc won’t go to pdf… not sure why they can’t print it/pull the file and send me a photo of it via text or email.. it’s 2026? The blanket lies about needing to keep an inspection that was used to qualify the vehicles a Oakes certified pre-owner and complete lack of progression after one week is beyond disappointing and further makes me question the inspection. As it would anyone. The high pressure, “get it done while they are here” that we experienced when buying is conveniently far from what we are getting now that we have major issues and their sister store stating it was in this condition before our purchase. Unfortunately I can’t go to the dealership and sit face to face with them for hours as I’m in the hospital for the 8th day. $5k of repair bill and a week later I have received 1 phone call, 1 text ( I completely understand your frustration. I am shooting over an email with the recon inspection. I will also get some numbers put together on the K4! -Meaghan), 1 email (I am trying to generate a pdf version of the inspection report and it isn't cooperating. I will be able to get it from my recon manager first thing in the morning to send over. -Meaghan), and 1 phone call (stating how busy she is but just needs 10 minutes to get me what I’m asking for -Meaghan). None of which being the inspection, realistic payment options, or a step in the right direction. I’ve asked to speak with the GM since Friday off last week (it’s Thursday).. he’s been out of the office everyday all day apparently. When I was directed to Meaghan it took 2 days of asking for a phone call and sitting on hold for 30 minute periods because “she was the only manager here and is swamped with customers” (Taylor), “I was in meetings all morning will reach out soon” (Meaghan.. and didn’t), and “she is actually meeting with the GM about it now” (Gavin) Now I’m being told sorry… Meaghan is off today you’ll have to wait. Every customer has been proven to be prioritized over us dispite our patience and understanding of what we will lose in this situation. Most frustrating part… I bought from this store because of the owners history from a small mom and pop store in Lawrence Kansas (my hometown) to the operation that it is and got completely ran through the ringer so far for my trust More
