Bait and Switch Heard an ad on the radio for a new Kia Forte. Called the dealership and was told that they did have that car but manual trans and not what I wanted. I Heard an ad on the radio for a new Kia Forte. Called the dealership and was told that they did have that car but manual trans and not what I wanted. I asked about how much it would be and described what I wanted. The salesman quoted me an out the door price. I explained that I wasnt military etc so there would be no confusion. I get there drive the car and then the price has went up near $1500. A total of $3500 higher than the bait car they advertised. This is why people hate buying new cars. Not only will I never come back I may switch brands all together due to this. Kia needs to control their dealers better than this. Anyway Buyer Beware!! More
Too Good To Be True My husband and I were dreading buying a car. We had a list of what we were looking for in a car a price we were willing to pay. I looked on the internet and made a list of cars that fit our criteria. I was sure most dealerships would try to sell us something besides the advertised vehicles and the buying process would take a lot of time. Jack Miller KIA was the first dealership with a car we were interested in on my list. When we got to the dealership we were shown the vehicle we requested to see. They did not try to show us anything else. The salesman, Anthony, was friendly and helpful. The financing process was easy and pleasant. We were in and out of the dealership in about two hours. We both talked about that being the best car buying experience we've ever had. We've both recommended Jack Miller KIA to others. Now fast forward almost a month later. The temp tag on the vehicle is about to expire. We still do not have the paperwork to take to the DMV to licence the vehicle. We were ready to go the DMV the day we bought the vehicle but knew we had to wait for the paperwork. I do not like to wait until the last minute to get things done. I like to do important tasks like going to the DMV as soon as possible. I finally called to find out what was going on with the paperwork. I was told it was in the mail pile to go out that day but I could pick it up if I wanted to. I stated I would be in the following afternoon to pick it up. I took the afternoon off of work to pick up the paperwork and go to the DMV. The paperwork was not there and I was told it was sent out in the mail that day. I was rudely told I should have called if I wanted to pick it up. I stated I did and was then told there was no message stating that. No one apologized for my inconvenience or even acknowledged the fact that I was told the paperwork would be there. I now only have a few days before the temp tag expires. I still have no paperwork and will have to make a very last minute trip to the DMV. I now have to cancel scheduled Saturday activities to go to the DMV, that is assuming I get the paperwork by then. I told my husband and we both said the buying experience was too good to be true. We both expected something like this and now it has. The buying experience we had was great, but it's no good to have a good sales experience and not have a team that can follow through with all the details. Until now I would have looked first for my next vehicle at Jack Miller KIA, now I won't look there at all. More
