After being disappointed with many Honda dealers in this area we finally found Bernardi in Brockton. I could not have asked for a better buying experience. We were greeted by the internet sales department representative when we arrived. Compared to other new car dealers we have recently frequented, actually meeting the dealership internet representati representative when we arrived. Compared to other new car dealers we have recently frequented, actually meeting the dealership internet representative we established an e-mail relationship with, was a new exoerience. We were introduced to a salesperson, and after the usual smalltalk, we got down to the business of examining vehicles. We had previously done our homework, therefore knew specifically what vehicle we were looking for. It was enjoyable to not have the salesperson make an attempt to steer us toward a vehicle we had no interest in. The salesperson was able to immediately set-up a test drive of our desired vehicle. The pre-test drive vehicle information session was informative and helpful. We were encouraged to take as long and diverse a test drive as desired. We did so. The test drive sealed the deal for my wife. Then came the "what color" decision. On an extremely hot, humid day, the salesperson displayed remarkable patience as my wife took over almost 2 hours to make her color decision. Then it became necessary to complete every customer's least favorite part of the sales transaction. That is, the dickering over the price. AT one point the assistant sales manager saddled-up to our table and began the negotiations in earnest. Surprisingly, his initial offer to come down $800. from the MSRP was all he was willing to do. I displayed to him an internet price quote for the same vehicle from aother Honda dealer. Immediately (really with no hesitation)he stated that ther ew as no way he would be able to match that offer. Very little room for negotiation. My wife and I immediately got up to leave and in fact were literally walking out the door when we were again intercepted by the internet sales manager we had initially met. He asked us if we had made a purchase, we told him the story, and he told us to wait so he could look into the situation. Within minutes he assured us he felt he could work something out to make a sale. He did so and to our satisfaction. The story end with a visit to the finance dept. which was as pleasant an experience as possible when taking out a loan for $19,000. Thank you. More
The only problem I had we it took a long time to get plate transferred. It was easy to get an employee to help you. Senior staff assigned a junior staff to fill out paperwork. The junior staff was not very experienced which made the visit a little lengthy. Bernardi honda if you like loud,rude,in your face kinda sales people got here. you wont be disapoited. This dealership really knows how to do the business. I negotiated a price after placing an online order through www.honda.com. Once the deal was done, all the employees were really friendly and have tried helping out as much as possible. One important thing that I noticed here was that the sales people were not forcing you to make a deal...they just gave you the facts and I did not feel that I was being forced to make a decision. The other benefit with this dealership is that they have a large collection of cars in almost every color and every make and model. That definitely helps in getting the exact car that you are looking for, instead of the dealership trying to sell you whatever they have in their lot. A nice experience over all. More
The reason I came to Bernardi Honda in the first place, is that it looked like it had a lot of inventory and had good deals. I was looking at a CR-V EX 4WD and an Accord EX. Derrell Cole came right up to m is that it looked like it had a lot of inventory and had good deals. I was looking at a CR-V EX 4WD and an Accord EX. Derrell Cole came right up to me and my son, very friendly with him. I test drove the 2 cars in my price range and ended up buying a fully loaded showroom CR-V. When we came back to pick up the car, it was in the garage already ready for us. Very pleased with this dealership, I got a car I wanted in my price range and drove home as happy as a clam. When I arrived at Bernardi I was met by the smiling Danny Henriquez. Not sure which car I might be purchasing, he was more than accomodating in showing me and letting me test drive several models. I am absolutely delighted with my 2012 Honda Civic and would refer anyone to Danny so that they could also enjoy the no pressure experience that I enjoyed when buying by new car. More
Lunel was a tremendous help in finding my needle in the haystack. I had cash and wanted to buy a used SUV with less than 80000 miles, younger than a 2004, good shape around $13000. None of the other 12 dealers I talked to were willing to help me. Only problem here at Bernardi is that their Finance Dept was extremely poor. No call backs after 3 calls to speed up my delivery. Thus the lower rating of OK on overall experience. More
