It was late the following day when I called back to check on progress. They had not yet taken it to the shop. Then, within 30 minutes they texted to tell me I could pick it up. When I did and inquired about the recall work they said they didn't do anything because the car didn't need it- which was very frustrating and mixed information. I continue to get texts from Jeep to take my car in to address the recall. More
I made an appointment online for replacement ofvan indicator bulb and grinding noise in front left wheel when turning. The appointment was for 11 AM. I had hoped to wait, but due to having to care for indicator bulb and grinding noise in front left wheel when turning. The appointment was for 11 AM. I had hoped to wait, but due to having to care for my husband who has Parkinson's I agreed to leaving the van. I checked in with Stan at 4:20 pm having not gotten any update. I was told that the tech had not looked at my vehicle at all. I was told that 'waiters' got priority and that appointments were'pushed back'. Strangely enough, after I explained my need for the vehicle, the tech was able to replace the bulb and let me know I needed front breaks. I agreed to leave the vehicle overnight since I watch my 2 granddaughters (2 years old and 7 months old) and needed the safety seats as well as my husband's rolling walker that I had left in the van thinking I would have it back by that evening. The repairs were ultimately completed a little earlier than projected on the second day. More
I brought my Jeep into the dealership for a few repairs and to have some keys programmed to the vehicle. They made the appropriate repairs and were able to program a few extra keys for me. My Wangler JL was having issues starting in cold weather, I told them as clearly as possible that it acts like the AUX battery is having issues (and that I replaced my main battery before taking it in). when I told them as clearly as possible that it acts like the AUX battery is having issues (and that I replaced my main battery before taking it in). when the temperatures dip below freezing, my wrangler would start to turn over for half a second and then my dash goes dark and I lose all power. I was charged for an electrical diagnosis where I was told my keyfob was the issue (which still doesn't make too much sense to me as car/starter would turn over) and its battery was replaced on it, but when the weather got cold again I noticed the issue was not fixed. I tried my second fob, and even swapped the battery between the fobs and my car would NOT start. I just found a post on a wrangler forum on how to bypass the aux battery and now my car starts up with no issue (in below zero temps).I'm not a mechanic (that's why I took it to you all) and I understand intermittent issues like mine are hard to diagnose, but I can't help but feel like I wasted both my time and money taking it in to get serviced only for experts to misdiagnose something so poorly, while I (who is very much not an expert) properly diagnose and 'fixed' it. (PS: the manager was great though) More
