On April 30, 2026, I noticed a voltage malfunction warning on my 2017 Toyota Highlander, possibly related to the alternator or battery. I went to Olathe Toyota, my regular (home) dealership, and spoke warning on my 2017 Toyota Highlander, possibly related to the alternator or battery. I went to Olathe Toyota, my regular (home) dealership, and spoke with a service advisor. I explained everything in detail and showed him all the warning messages displayed on my vehicle’s screen. He told me they were unable to fix my car at that time and offered to schedule an appointment for another day. I then asked him whether he believed the car was safe to drive, and he said yes. Hearing that gave me some confidence, so I agreed to schedule the appointment for a later date. However, when I returned to my car, it would not start at all. Fortunately, a technician kindly helped me by charging the battery so I could get the car running again. Even after that, the same warning messages were still showing, indicating that the issue was serious and potentially unsafe to drive. That technician then introduced me to another excellent service advisor, Adam White. After seeing the situation, Adam immediately recognized that it was not safe for me to drive the vehicle and made sure I did not leave in a dangerous condition. I am writing this comment to express my sincere appreciation for Adam White’s professionalism and care. At the same time, I hope the first service advisor I spoke with will be more careful in handling situations like this in the future, as they directly affect customer safety. More
Been coming here for decades and bought 4 new cars here. we’re done because the service center has gotten so bad (and expensive - shop around!). This last visit, i took my truck in for service and dro here. we’re done because the service center has gotten so bad (and expensive - shop around!). This last visit, i took my truck in for service and dropped it off. they said they would call me when it was done and never called. Showed up shortly after 5 and found them closed. Called and talked to some sales manager and was able to come in the next day to get it. but without the threat of me just coming to get it anyway, I would have been stuck til Monday. Also they wrote down my card info. Yikes! PCI violations? The service department never once called me back to apologize or even acknowledge what happened. They’ve really gone down hill the past few years. I would recommend going to legends toyota if you have to get toyota service and staying away from this place. More
I’m leary of service departments at dealerships, but Matt, my service coordinator, took all that doubt away. Worked extra hard to get the parts in and got my car done a day early. ONE OF THE BEST EXPERIENCES EVER! !! Mr. Adam White greeted me within just a few minutes of entering the service department and asked if I had been helped. Although I didn't have an !! The tech quickly looked over my concern, and Adam was able to seamlessly process a warranty claim. When I picked up my car, it was not only washed, but it drove like the day I took it off the lot. Bought a part from them on Ebay and sent me wrong part. Unfortunately, after having one of the best experiences we've ever had in purchasing our Hybrid Platinum Highlander, we had to deal with the Service Department. I was visiting my daughter who lives in Olathe Ks, I have a Lexus rx350 and this dealer is 5 minutes from her house I know that about 50% of parts are interchangeable between toyota and lexus so I called and a Lexus rx350 and this dealer is 5 minutes from her house I know that about 50% of parts are interchangeable between toyota and lexus so I called and they said I could service the car there, the visit went pretty well they were organized efficient and fast. The problem was I drove there from Las Vegas Nv and was driving home about 1600 miles. After driving home I backed my car out of my garage and there was fresh oil on the floor I looked under the car and oil was dripping from the drain plug area, I called the Service Manager at Olathe Toyota and left him a message that oil was leaking and I was taking the car to The toyota dealer by my house, they inspected the car and found the drain plug was loose and the gasket was pinched. Ow i'm very upset I drove 1600 miles and could have blown my engine if all the oil leaked out. I left the Service Manager and additional message stating I wanted reimbursed for my oil change, I had to pay the dealer by my house who changed it again because they had to remove the drain plug to repair the leak. Have yet to hear from the manager since i left my last message. More
Service department is terrible. Wife brought her car in for a recall on he air bag in Jan 2021. Immediately the horn want working and the air bag light was coming on. This is around the time I was diagnosed with cancer so I was keeping her busy taking me to doctors appointments, treatments, and visiting need in the hospital so she didn't bring it back. Brought it back today and they called and asked who had worked on it (only them). Then a few hours later they quote $1000 to repair it. I called Steve, service manager, giving them a chance but he said “there is nothing he can do”. Not the way to treat people…. Even if they weren’t diagnosed with cancer. More

I specifically went to the Toyota dealership for a smooth experience. He told me a new tire would be ready around 5pm so I rearranged my entire day to be available only for him to then call me at 6pm and said you guys might be able to get us back in in the next few days. I called back minutes later and said that wasn't acceptable and I needed the tire and he didn't even call me back!! I had to call Toyota the next morning to arrange service. I went in the next day and waited another 2 hours in the waiting area so literally 4 hours waiting for the tire to have paint splashes on it in multiple colors and doesn't even look new. Absolutely the worst experience I've ever had at any Toyota dealership. I am happy to send photos of the tire. I never received any inspection report on the vehicle either. I always do at other dealerships. More
