However, he's just relaying information from the technicians in the back. For one problem with my Prius I paid a diagnostic and they came back and told me I had to buy a new part that would cost nearly $2000 and replace it which after labor was going to run me closer to $3000. I sought an opinion from an independent mechanic and after topping off the brake fluids, problem solved. This was more than 6 months ago. Still no similar issues or problems. So I question their mechanics' ability to truly diagnose an issue and truly explore all options to present to the customer over just proposing the surefire fix no matter the cost and hardship it will create for the customer. I will not be taking my vehicles for anything but safety recalls going forward as long as it's Moe that takes care of me, and they provide me a loaner vehicle for things that will take more than half a day. I am pleased that they finally admitted their fault after the last safety recall on the sliding door to my Sienna, that they did something causing my DVD player to stop working. Initially they said they would diagnose it but if they deemed it was not their fault that I'd be out another $100+ for that diagnostic. I took it to my reliable mechanic friend who fixed that for me. Toyota now says they will reimburse me for the fee I paid my mechanic to fix that issue. More
