Not Educated The people are nice but none of the departments seem to know or care what the others are doing. We had an issue with our backup camera and called and asked if our warranty would cover fixing the issue. The service rep said "I think so, bring it in and we will look at it". I feel this tactic was used just to get us to bring the car in so they could charge us to "look at it". I learned from a 2 minute conversation with one of the assistant service managers that a normal warranty doesn't cover a backup camera. It took 3 days for the service rep to tell me this. The service rep apparently didn't know that a normal warranty wouldn't cover the costs or didn't care and just wanted us to come in. HAD he said let me check to see if your warranty covers that or a normal warranty doesn't typically cover backup cameras then we would have accepted that and tried to figure out if our warranty covered it or how much it would be to have it fixed. We purchased the car almost 3 years ago and have never used the warranty so we didn't know what exactly was covered and what wasn't but this rep seemed to just want us to bring in the car so he could either (a) make some money for the dealership by "looking at it" or (b) he really didn't know if our warranty covered the backup camera and therefore he was not educated on this process. Either way the dealership seems to have a culture of just get the costumer in so we can make money and don't teach anybody anything that can help the costumer so they have to come in and pay us money. My overall experience has never been great at this dealership. Went to look at cars and got pressured into buying one from a saleswoman who used some shady tactics on us. It was our first time buying a car and afterwards we realized she used every shady salesman tactic on us to get us to purchase a car. I'm a teacher and she said I would get $200 to go towards my classroom to buy supplies for my students. I think she hoped I would forget about that promise and I had to literally call the dealership every week for months, and I mean MONTHS, to get $200 out of them. Every time I called they all acted like they had no idea what I was talking about. Either the saleswoman lied to me or they really hoped I would just give up on the $200 after months of asking. I did not because I wanted it for my students. I kept calling and fighting for that money for them. It is very apparent that Brent Brown does not care about education. They can't even educate their employees about how their dealership works. I have talked with other teachers and they have received $500 from other dealerships no problem for their classrooms. I would recommend going to one of those dealerships and not this one. Every time I use this dealership for something I do not have a good experience. My wife took our car in for a simple oil changed and waited there for 3 hours when they said it would take 30 minutes. They also lost our car and couldn't find it when they were done. We do not expect fantastic costumer service but decent service would be acceptable and we have not received that from them. We have wasted so much of our time at this dealership for things that should be simple and not take too much time. I'm not upset with the people but more with the system they work under. More
Worst service experience I’ve ever had. Wasted my time by telling me the person that could make a judgment call about my warranty would be available. Did not stand behind their workmanship for a part that should be recalled because of it being defective. Didn’t even offer anything to take responsibility for a part they even said should not already be failing. When you spend 50k on a brand new vehicle you expect it to last more than a few years before things start to fail. The manager didn’t even bother to reach out to me. Terrible “service.” More

With our 2014 Avalon --this time for our 5,000 mile checkup! We haven't been to Brent Brown Toyota for three years because we have been in California. With our 2014 Avalon before in 2014-2017, we received a car wash or a coupon for a car wash, and it was vacuumed out before we arrived to pick up our car. This time, my wife picked it up--no vacuum, no car wash, not even a car wash coupon. My wife said, "They were very professional with their i-Pads, etc." Fortunately, it is still under warranty. More

No car wash at the service center. Always 2+ weeks out to schedule service. The last two times I’ve been in the service manager hasn’t talked to me at all about what was done to my vehicle or the results of schedule service.
