Mr. Rogers, First, I would like to apologize for any miscommunication. We participate in the DealerRater certified program so that we can resolve problems and raise our level of customer service. We are committed to providing high quality customer service. As you can see from the majority of the reviews, others have found dealing with Lustine Chrysler Dodge Jeep enjoyable, but based on your DealerRater.com review, you did not share that experience. We provided this level of customer service to the customers we loaned the van to while we procured the Van they purchased. We have over 300 hundred vehicles in stock and there's really no way Matt would've known that this van was out on loan until he went to pull the key and look for the van. So while giving a high level of service to the couple we loaned the van to, we ended up upsetting you, for which we apologize. Actually, the van came back just a couple of hours after your visit. It was returned in the exact same condition that it went out. By the way, if you had purchased that van, it would have been certainly based on your final approval of the vehicle (as was the couples agreement who had the other van) and we would have also provided you with a van to drive if we couldn't get the customers to bring theirs in right away. In some instances we have even delivered vehicles to people if it is inconvenient for them to come back and switch the vans. We could have also done this for you. The point is, it is always our goal to provide a high level of customer service before, during and after the sale and given that, I know that it was not an ethical issue with Matt or the Lustine dealership. In closing, I would like to extend my personal apology for any misunderstandings and ask if there is any way we could make this up to you and make you a happy Lustine customer. Mr. Campbell Unfortunately, your offer to find a way to make this up has been overshadowed by Matt and Mike Engle. I informed Ron what it would take to make this whole, i.e. consideration for what my wife and I were put through. Mike not only turned down my offer but reinstated the grossly high processing fee of $399.00, even after Matt had put in writing that these fees would not be charged. This is the unethical conduct I was speaking of above. My offer was fair and my wife and I would have purchased the vehicle and learned from the experience. But no, Mike still had to exert his will, so your sale was lost. And I do hope that you do not believe that Matt did not know that the van had been loaned out because I was informed that he was the one that took the action. So, either Matt is lying to you, or you are not being truthful to me. Sorry, I am a loyal person to a car company that treats me with courtesy and respect. As long as Mike and Matt are employed by Lustine, I will not be through your doors again.

Mr. SkaChicken- This is Mike Engle, the General Manager at Lustine CJD. After reading this review several times, I would like to still have the opportunity to speak with you in regards to your dealings with Matt and Ron Boston. I assure you that integrity is just as important in my dealership as it is to you in regards to spending the tax payers dollars. I am a Marine Corps veteran that was raised in a military family. I know the difference between making mistakes and having a lack of integrity. It is my understanding that upon chacking for the key (which was in the machine) and checking our stock, that the vehicle was listed as "AVAILABLE STOCK". That would mean that the vehicle is here and ready for sale. If the vehicle was a DEMO, that would have been disclosed in the beginning. But the vehicle was not a demo, it was being loaned out to a family in need of a vehicle while there vehicle was in service. So by doing right by one customer we upset a potential customer. I am not saying that what we did was right, nor am I making excuses. I am just stating the facts. If anyone was aware you were coming from such a long distance, somebody should have verified the location of the vehicle. As we have over 350 vehicles in stock and 2 lots, it would be impossible for anyone to know the location of every vehicle. I am so sorry your experience was less than 100% satisfactory. That is very disappointing to us, and through this program we have the opportunity to work with you to resolve any issues with your experience at their dealership. First, let me say that it sounds like, other than the price, you were satisfied overall with your trip to our store. I completely understand. I have sold hundreds of cars over the years and I have yet for someone to tell me that price was way to low. Our used car pricing is straight forward, really. On every site where we advertise our cars, it clearly states that "all prices are plus Tax, Tags, Processing and Reconditioning fee" Because all our vehicles come with a lifetime power train warranty, they undergo an extensive inspection and in some cases it generates quite a shop bill. In addition, there can be a lot of detailing involved to get these vehicles into the "showroom extra clean" condition you see for sale on our lot. When we first aquire the vehicle, either through auction or trade in, the price posted only reflects what we invested to aquire it. As the vehicles goes through the shop, a shop bill is generated and the detail cost are also added to the total. The end result is the like-new vehicle you see on the front line that comes with a Lifetime warranty on the engine, trasmission, and drive system, so that you can buy the vehicle with full confidence that it will be seviceable for many years to come! Once again, many customers, both who decided to make their purchase from us and those that didn't, may leave without being 100% happy with the price. But those who decide to make their purchase, usually end up to be happy life-long Lustine customers. We decided long ago to apologize once for the price, rather than continually apologize to an unhappy customer for the quality. Finally, make no mistake about it, our company exist to sell cars. We make the most of every opportunity to do so. If the cars you looked at could have been sold for less, we would've never let you leave at that price.
