When I came to the dealership I brought my mom, sister, and friend. We were in a rush and knew exactly what we were looking for(used volkswagen passat). We had just spent several hours in a different vw dealership who didnt seem to care as much about what I wanted and kept asking me to look at different cars even though I said I liked the one I had test driven. He also could never give me a price telling me I had to speak with the finance people(which is where we spent most of our time waiting, never spoke to them). I had to call back in order to get any information and he said he would follow up with me the next day. When we got to congressional vw, Ray came out to greet us. My mom said "we have ten minutes, we want to sit in the car and come back". Ray said give me a minute to get the key. He was very swift in getting it, we sat in the car, and he got my information. Was asked to email some information about the vehicle. Told us he would do it first thing in the morning. He wasnt pushy at all and was knowledgeable. Did exactly as he said he would(which was sending the information in the morning and also going above and beyond to give me a follow up call, even coming back when he had left to further assist me). We went back the next day to test drive the car and ended up leaving with it because not only was I happy with the car but I was happy with the sales rep. When I got to financing I was a little worried because I figured they would try to give me the highest end possible with all the options and work my way down. They finance guy Jay took his time explaining everything to me in detail and added the options that I asked for. He was also knowledgeable. My overall experience with this dealership was a very positive one. Everyone was polite and helpful. I would come to purchase another car here with Ray and Jay further assisting me and recommend my family and friends to do the same. More

Fantastic experience!! I had not been car shopping in over 10 years because it has always been such a miserable experience. I had visited many dealers before going to Congressional Mazda and found that m over 10 years because it has always been such a miserable experience. I had visited many dealers before going to Congressional Mazda and found that most were the same bad experience that I remembered. However, at Congressional, from the moment I walked in the showroom, my experience was FANTASTIC!! Oumar was helpful, informative, but NOT pushy - he showed me vehicles that matched my needs WITHOUT trying to "push" me into options taht were of little value. For example, after asking about my driving habits (and, most importantly, LISTENING to my response), he suggested that one of the options might not be as important to me, so that I could save money by looking at vehicles that didn't have this feature. When I left and told him that I would bring my husband back, he was courteous, helpful and didn't give me any pressure or "grief" about when. Likewise, after my husband and I testdrove, he was eager to help, but NEVER pressuring. He didn't play any games with the price of the vehicle or with the tradein and was respectful and courteous when we brought in Internet price comparisons. It was truly no-hassle!! Dana was equally respectful and professional in the financing arrangements and with the purchase of SOME (not all) additional warranties/protection. He was fair and didn't blanch at my husband's rather blunt assessments of some products. He made things easy and smooth and was great! I cannot rave enough about how great this experience was - I love my new Mazda, but I guarantee you that I will go back to this dealer the next time I am in the market for a car, even if their models are not at the top of my list! Dana McGriff was the business agent and he was also honest and friendly. They offered the best price right off the bat and did not make you haggle. The other dealerships gave a higher price, but all were willing to match the price given by Congressional. I would recommend this dealership to all of my family and friends. More

I JUST WENT IN THERE TODAY FOR A NEW VOLKS WAGON JETTA SE. THE GUY ( Mr. RAY PALIZKAR ) WAS SO NICE AND FRIENDLY THAT I COULD NOT BELIEVE. THE WHOLE CAR BUYING PROCESS WAS SO SMOOTH. Congressional Motors is very conveniently located on the corner of Rockville Pike and Wootton Parkway in MD, which happens to be within a 5 mile radius of where I live. This saved me hours of time NOT having to drive 30-100 miles away in search of a good deal on a new car. Traditionally, I find that the car buying experience requires a lot of time haggling and can become a trying experience. I'm in my 40's and have purchased half a dozen new cars in my life, so even with a little experience under my belt, the "old" gambits car salesmen can use can test even the most even tempered person's patience. YOU DON'T HAVE TO WORRY ABOUT THIS AT CONGRESSIONAL. Every person that assisted me did so professionally, candidly, and frankly, with a smile. Imagine that, finding truly friendly people that treat you with respect and kindness. I can't say enough good things about Mr. Ray. He is genuinely a nice guy that listens to what you say and then does whatever is within his power to accommodate you. To say that he will go the extra mile is an understatement. Simply put, because of the service that he provided, Congressional Motors made the sale. Obviously, I strongly recommend talking to Ray. I also have to give proper thanks to Mr. Joseph, who was the first sales person that assisted me but introduced me to Mr. Ray, as Mr. Joseph was assisting another customer at the time. I'm sure each salesman would like to "make the sale", but it was very professional of him to find another salesperson to assist me so I didn't have to wait. He was also friendly and very easy to talk to, i.e., no high or low pressure sales tactics. Mr. Dana, in finance, was also easy to work with and explained everything very clearly and patiently. He is another professional. If you have read this far, then you have probably gathered that I had a good car buying experience at Congressional and would highly recommend them and the people mentioned above. Having said that, if you don't do your own research in advance on the car that you wish to purchase and come in prepared knowing what you CAN spend, then your car buying experience may vary. Again, Mr. Ray is the best. Mr. Joseph is great. And, Mr. Dana is a pleasure to work with. You're probably wondering what I ended up purchasing. Just an awesome 2011 Jetta SportWagen TDI. That's right, it's a diesel and a hatchback. I was cross shopping a Prius III package 5, which is a nice car (lots of toys) but just doesn't have the power the TDI has. The driving experience is like night and day. But to each, their own. If you visit Congressional, please tell them Copper Red Miata with 18k sent you. Sigh, I'll miss that trade in. More
