I texted to ask about battery replacement and got a call back from the service department. I was told the price of a battery was "about $150" and installation was "not much.". When I pressed for exact numbe back from the service department. I was told the price of a battery was "about $150" and installation was "not much.". When I pressed for exact numbers I was told $165 + $40 for labor. I confirmed that it would cost me $185 (+ tax & disposal fee) out the door, after applying a $20 battery install dealer offer. I brought the car in for the battery install and an oil change and was charged $180 for the battery + $60 labor, or $220 (+ tax & fee) out the door with the dealer coupon. That $35 hustle is pretty trivial -but it's the last $35 Pacific Honda will get from me. We bought our 2020 CRV Hybrid there and have had all our service done there for 5+ years. It will be inconvenient to drive 10 miles farther to the dealer where we had our previous Honda serviced for all 200,000 miles that we owned it, but at least I know I won't be lied to there. More

PH called me to schedule an appoinment for a recall. Within the 10-15 days of the appointment, I had at least 10 contacts reminding me of my appointment. I assumed a tech would be waiting for me. However, when I arrive and met with Erick Calderon, I was informed that my 9:00am appointment meant the car MAY be ready before closing. I called Erick between 2 and 3pm and left a text and called twice with no answer. So, I drove there at 3:19pm and saw my CRv parked near the waiting room. I thought it was ready for pick-up and they failed to be notified. I found Erick who told me the car was not ready but would be done by closing. Of course I was angry and drove away. At 3:52 pm, Erick called informing the car was ready and suggested that the vehice I saw was not mine. Note, I have a retired USMC license frame, plus I know my license plate number and I looked inside and saw my property inside. I returned to PH at 4:52 pm and my car was parked in the same spot. I also have a GPS tracking device on my car that shows movement. It did not move between 2:55pm until I took possession at 5:02 pm. Erick basically lied to me to possibly cover overlooking notifying me of the completion. My intention is to make this the LAST vehicle purchased at Pacific Honda. I have purchased eight new cars there and have overlooked several unhappy visits to the service department. I have reached my limit. More
