I have never been attempted ripped off so horrendously by a service rep for service before. I go in for routine car and an inspection of ac and brakes. He convinces me to leave my car and says theyll pay for a rental car for 2 days because I work the next day and Im a nurse. I say okay. That night I realize I dont have the funds to get everything done at once, and I text the line he gave me that I had been texting from which hed always call me back in response. I texted to stop service and that I would need to come back at a later date. The next morning right when they open at 0700 I called the service dept and left a voicemail saying to stop all service. I texted the same line shortly after 8 am again as he never called back. No response stil. This xxxxer doesnt get back to me until the afternoon and says theyve already done a lot of work and that I was currently almost at 900 worth of charges and that all inspections had been done so I should continue to avoid having to repay in the future. He also tries to throw in some xxxxxxxx saying my ENTIRE a/c unit was contaminated and it would take SIX THOUSAND to fix on top of so many other things he said he found wrong. He was saying I have 9000 worth of work to be done and that my car wasnt very safe to drive at the moment. And I say I still want to stop service and hes MAD. And he keeps trying to convince me to continue and then starts saying xxxx like well then we cant cover the rental car etc and I can hear the anger in his voice. I say Ill pick up the car the next day which was always the plan and later he calls back and says he got the charges reduced to 170 something for inspections and 60 for a filter they had already replaced (without my consent). So he had tried to initially charge me 900 for god knows what but somehow lowered it down that much within the hour??? He was definitely scamming me and Im just in shock this was a service rep at HONDA where Ive always gone and trusted. I will NEVER go to Honda for service again ever, stay away from Pacific Honda service!!! Theyre clearly in on scamming customers and could care less about your financial state or well being. Im going elsewhere to get my car reinspected and I have a strong feeling my entire ac unit is not “entirely contaminated.” What a waste of money, time, and trust. More
