His understanding of my needs as a driver, and musical tastes were spot on, and his follow up and efforts to try to find my car were excellent. Ed listens! More

My brother had purchased a vehicle from Ed and recommended that we go back and work with Ed again for a vehicle for our sister. Ed was very friendly and courteous, very understanding and excellent listener to our needs. We had been to other several Mazda dealerships in NJ and had the worse experience. Ed took his time to explain the vehicles he had based on what we wanted and was not pushy or aggressive on his selling style. I must admit that his selling style took me by surprise and made me feel very comfortable. He was willing to work with us and was very clear on all of the costs upfront. He explained the features and benefits of the vehicles he offered us and advised on why we should choose a particular vehicle vs. another (great example was a vehicle with lower mileage vs. one with slightly higher mileage but had new tires). He explained that 2K or 3K miles difference vs. getting new tires was a better deal when you worked out the costs. He was extremely helpful on the days following our purchase and was accommodating to bring the plates and paperwork near our house to avoid a trip up to the dealership (going out of his way to satisfy a returning customer). Overall everyone we dealt with at the dealership (including the finance group) was pleasant, explained the details and did not pressure us to buy into add-ons that we did not want. Great First Car Buying Experience I was looking for a very specific vehicle, a Mazda3 Hatchback in manual. I drove over an hour to see the car. Mike DePaolo was excellent. Best customer service ever We went to see the car just because we saw it on auto trader. We went back a week later test drove it and signed all the paperwork...best part for me...they had the real plates ready for us! On a side note we forgot to get the carfax day of purchase and Mike emailed it to me after purchase, showing that not only do they want you to purchase they take care of your concerns after the sale! WORST dealership experience ever!! I don't know how this dealership has such good ratings. I drove an hour and a half to look at a cheap car they had for sale. Their wi-fi was down, and I don't know how this dealership has such good ratings. I drove an hour and a half to look at a cheap car they had for sale. Their wi-fi was down, and Mike DePaolo was not ready for our 1pm meeting in the slightest. He didn't have the car fax, he had very minimal knowledge of the car, and was rude when discussing finances. After 3 hours of this nonsense, I got denied for an extremely small loan through the ONE bank he checked, even with a large deposit. Since I had to leave for work, he said maybe he'd try another bank for me the next day. Never heard back from him. Never going back to Palisades Mazda! More
