Pitiful Service Department Had I known the issues I would have with the service department five years ago, I would not have purchased my car for this dealership. For the first year, things were fine and then there began to be one turnover after another in the service department. I never visited without an issue of some sort— mainly communication or lack thereof. Well, I had three recalls on the car so bringing my car to the dealership was a must. I scheduled the appointment on the phone 15 days ago. I showed up this morning at 8:00 with plans to leave my car and be shuttles to work. Surprise, I had no appointment! I told Tara I would reschedule and come again if need be, but she said no, they would get it done. Okay, maybe some redemption... right your wrong. I called at 3:00 or a little after to check on the status where Tara put me on hold for Tyler.....I sat on hold for 15 minutes. At that point, I had a coworker offer to drop me off since she was leaving work. I get to Palmer’s, and was asked to be helped....I told them I had been on hold for 15 minutes to speak to Tyler. (I still don’t know who he is.). What I do know is My car wasn’t ready. That’s okay too. But once I said I had waited 15 minutes there was the quick “our phones have been out.” Well, I understand, but I was on hold for 15 and they were just fine at my point of contact. I was offered to be shuttled—- wait! What good is that- I need A car. I told them I didn’t mind waiting if my car could be finished today and if that wasn’t the case, I needed the loaner. The manager as identified, was no help. He simply verbalized his “cutting off recalls because they are swamped.” Not my problem. I told them this would be my last visit and at this point I just want my car or A car so I can go ahead with my day. I’m waiting and anticipating it to be 5:00 or later when things are done. I have no gripes with anyone BUT the service department. It’s one excuse after another. Help the customer. I was willing to bring my car another day. I appreciate the effort made to complete the recalls today. But then add the phone wait of 15 minutes and fire off one excuse after the other when I show up. Eastern Shore will get my business with any new purchase or service needs that may arise. More

Both Eastern Shore (my normal dealer) and Palmer's had the same service at the same price, and on a terrible rainy day with traffic jammed downtown, I opted for Palmer's and was in and out of there without an appointment in under two hours.
